Anti-static Additive and Particulate Formation in Jet Fuel at Low Temperature
Abstract: Over-dosed anti-static additive Stadis 450 can form particulates in jet fuel when temperature goes down to around -38oC. The particulate formation was observed during freezing point test. The jet fuel produced by Toruk refinery of Arabian Gulf Oil Company of Libya had freezing point of about -55OC which is lower than required-47OC for jet fuel A-1. Key words: Libya, Tobruk refinery, Sarir refinery, Jet Fuel, Anti-Static Additive, Particulate, Low Temperature

Survey in Hydrazine and its Preparation, Reactions, and Their Applications
Abstract: This review concerned with hydrazine derivatives; Hydrazine is an important chemical compound used in jet engine and rocket fuel. Therefore, the European Union prohibits its sales to the developing world at 100% concentration and only permits its sales at 20-25% concentration. It is also used in industry to produce chemicals for textiles, agriculture, photographic development materials, and blowing agents used in the manufacture of foam rubber. It is also used …

Flame Spraying of Polymer-Abrasive Composites
Abstract: Polymer-based abrasive tools are distinguished by higher elasticity and resistance to chemically active media compared to tools with metal and ceramic binders. The former are effective at processing complex-profile and non-rigid surfaces. Tools based on coatings containing abrasive phenol- formaldehyde/epoxy resins and vulcanites are characterized by high cost and toxicity. In this paper, a study of composite flame-sprayed coatings, consisting of thermoplastic polymers and silicon carbide (volume ratio of 50-50), …

Effect of Swirl on the Performance of LPG Domestic Burner
Abstract: In the present experimental work, an1 attempt is made to improve the heating efficiency of theof the conventional LPG burner with modifications. The LPG burners having the multiple fueljets with an angle of 15°, 20° and 25° are used to create the swirl in the flame jets. The porousmedium is also used the burner for the study. The performance of the conventional LPGburner (radial burner) is studied in terms of …

Energy harnessing solution using a vertical axis wind turbine installed on the automotive rooftop.
Abstract: The transportation sector plays a major role in greenhouse gas emissions, prompting worldwide initiatives to mitigate its environmental effects. While the shift from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles is growing, it often merely shifts emissions rather than eliminating them, as fossil fuels continue to dominate energy production. A comprehensive solution requires universal access to renewable energy sources like wind, solar, and hydro power, which is currently impractical due to …

EGT Margin of A Jet Engine – Cause, Impact, Improvement & Simulation Theory
Abstract: When an engine runs, it produces heat and there is a range of temperature in the engine chamber. For Jet Engines, when it starts, temperature starts increasing within a range. At various durations of the engine run, there is some temperature. Higher the thrust, higher the heat temperature. This temperature is called Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT). There is a maximum allowed gas temperature for each type of engine and the …
