HFSS-Based Helix Antenna Design Optimization and Simulation
Abstract: This project uses HFSS (High-Frequency Structure Simulator) to simulate, develop, and analyze the performance of a helix antenna for (a particular purpose, such as broadband wireless or satellite communication). Because of their distinctive structural characteristics, helix antennas are well-suited for a variety of high-frequency applications by balancing compactness, high gain, and wide bandwidth. In this work, we parametrically analyze important design parameters including pitch, radius, number of turns, and wire …

Koch Slot DRA Antenna Array for Enhanced X-Band Applications
Abstract: This work introduces an innovative method aimed at improving the gain of Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) arrays functioning within the X-band spectrum. The design features a Koch-shaped slot-coupled feeding structure, utilising the properties of a short-ended microstrip line to enhance radiation directionality. The results of the simulation show that compared to conventional rectangular and V-shaped slot designs, the suggested antenna array provides a notable gain enhancement. This performance boost demonstrates …

Performance analysis of cross-slotted patch antenna for wireless system applications
Abstract: A C-band cross-slotted microstrip patch antenna for ice and frost detection in wireless sensing applications. The antenna configurations with distinct cross-slot geometries are designed to investigate their influence on impedance matching, radiation characteristics, and sensing sensitivity. The antennas are modeled and analyzed using Ansys HFSS, and their dimensions are optimized using standard microstrip antenna design equations. Ice and frost accumulation on the antenna surface is identified through measurable shifts in …
