Tribological Assessment of Chemically Modified Jatropha Curcas Oil Developed by Addition of Graphite Nanoparticles for Biolubricant Applications
Abstract: As an alternative to petroleum-based lubricants, environmentally friendly bio-based lubricants are gaining popularity in the lubrication industry. A sustainable bio-based lubricant, Jatropha Curcas Oil (JCO) incorporates nanoparticles as additives. Nevertheless, this oil cannot be used directly as a biolubricant due to its low oxidative stability. By redesigning the oil's molecular structure through chemical modification, this restriction can be overcome. Epoxidation and oxirane ringopening were the two steps used in this …

Influence of the Modification of Resol Phenolics on the Properties of Glass and Cotton Fiber Laminates
Abstract: Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite based on resol phenolics awaits special attention due to excellent inherent properties of the resol phenolics. In this study, modified resol phenolics by unsaturated polyester (UP) and epoxidised novolacs of simple phenol, o-cresol and p-cresol were used to fabricate glass and cotton FRPs. An overall enhancement of 25% in tensile strength and 40% in impact strength is achieved upon modification for both the modified laminates. …

Dermatophytoses: Taxonomy, Pathogenesis, Diagnosis, Resistance, and Management.
Abstract: Dermatophytes, belonging to the family Arthrodermataceae, are keratinophilic fungi responsible for superficial mycoses. Dermatophytoses affect the skin, hair, and nails globally. Over the last few years, dermatophytic infections have seen a sharp rise in India, with the main causative agent being antifungal-resistant Trichophyton mentagrophytes genotype VIII. This review provides a detailed overview of dermatophytoses, including taxonomy, pathogenesis, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment. Dermatophytes belong to the kingdom Fungi, family Arthrodermataceae, with …
