Development and Experimental Investigation of a Light Weight Hybrid Electric Vehicle Using Lithium-Ion Battery and EDLC Supercapacitor Integration
Abstract: Lightweight hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) have gained significant attention as an environmentally friendly and efficient mode of transportation. However, their energy storage systems (ESS) often face challenges such as limited battery lifespan, inadequate power delivery during peak demand, and inefficient energy recovery during braking. This research focuses on the development and experimental evaluation of a hybrid energy storage system (HESS) integrating Lithium-Ion Batteries (LIB) and Electric Double-Layer Capacitors (EDLC) for …

The Impact of Distinct Dopant Elements (Cu and Al) on the Electrochemical Characteristics of MgO Thin Films Formed Using the Electrodeposition Technique
Abstract: By using an aqueous electrodeposition technique, copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) doped magnesium oxide (MgO) thin films were created. We examined how the dopant elements affected the electrochemical characteristics of MgO thin films deposited on stainless steel (SS) substrates in the current study. We annealed the MgO-based films at 450◦C. The MgO films doped with Cu and Al have been determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) results. Cyclic voltammetric analyses (CV), …

Steam Activated Carbon Material from the Fruit Shells of Sterculia foetida for Energy and Environmental Applications
Abstract: Steam activation of the biochar from Sterculia foetida forms a green route for the synthesis of activated carbon material with high specific surface area (1017 m2/g). The corresponding value with a chemical activating agent (K2CO3) is much lower (596 m2/g). Structural parameters of the activated carbon materials were deduced from XRD studies. Moreover the thermal stability of the activated carbon materials from steam activation is nearly 100°C higher than that …
