Techno-economic Assessment of a Domestic Refrigerator with Aluminium-based Suction Line and Capillary Tube
Abstract: The present work reports the experimental performance evaluation of aluminum suction line-based domestic refrigerators. Furthermore, it compared domestic refrigerators with conventional copper capillary tubes and suction lines using R600a as a refrigerant. Performance parameters: energy consumption, ice-making time, and pull-down time was reduced significantly compared to conventional copper suction and capillary tube. Refrigerants having Ambient temperature for ice making test and pull down were initially set at 43°C and that …

Design and Performance Evaluation of A Refrigeration System Utilizing The Peltier Cooling Effect
Abstract: A domestic refrigerator with 5star rating and having capacity 180 Liters consumes 265 units per year. In India average cost of electricity consumption per unit for domestic usage up to 100 units is Rs 5.31per Unit and beyond 300 units it is Rs.8.95 and for industrial it may go beyond Rs 10.45/kWh. This scenario demands for alternative cooling technology that can replace totally VCR (vapour compression refrigeration) system. This thesis …

Energetic and Exergetic Investigation on Vapor Compression Refrigeration System Using Ag₂O-R134a Nanofluid as Refrigerant
Abstract: This paper experimentally explored energetic and exergetic performance investigation of VCR System using Ag₂O-R134a Nanofluid as Refrigerant. The integration of silver oxide (Ag₂O) nanoparticles within polymer and composite materials offers promising avenues for enhancing the thermal and physical properties of advanced systems. The energetic and exergetic performance study of VCR were investigated with test parameters including compressor power consumption, cooling capacity, coefficient of performance (COP), discharge temperature, irreversibility in the …
