Micro-atolls of the Gulf of Kachchh: Environmental Interactions and Adaptations of the Corals-an Anecdote
Abstract: The corals and coral reefs exhibit remarkable shapes and size in the marine realm. Any extant morphometric feature of any creature is a reflection of its interaction with the ambient environment and gradual evolutionary processes. The present study has for the first time revealed the occurrence of the panoply which is outcome of the evolutionary fitness mechanism, acquired by the coral colonies in the study area–Gulf of Kachchh, Arabian Sea. …

Impacts of Climate Change and Anthropogenic Stressors on Marine Ecosystems: A Comparative Study of Coral Reefs, Kelp Forests, and Arctic Fjords
Abstract: The accelerating impacts of climate change and human activities are profoundly reshaping marine ecosystems, threatening biodiversity, and altering trophic dynamics. This study synthesizes recent research on the responses of marine flora and fauna to temperature fluctuations, ocean acidification, pollution, and overfishing, highlighting the cascading effects on primary production, nutrient cycling, and ecosystem resilience. Using a combination of field surveys, remote sensing data, and meta-analytical approaches, we quantified biodiversity shifts across …

Richness of Marine Biodiversity: Ecological, Economic, and Conservation Perspectives
Abstract: Marine life is diverse, from minuscule plankton to the greatest species on Earth. Marine biodiversity is extensive, and this article examines the ecological roles of species in coral reefs, deep-sea trenches, and coastal environments. Ocean life is essential for keeping the planet's environment in balance. It helps control the Earth's climate and provides income, food, and resources for millions of people around the world. Marine ecosystems are home to an …

Aquatic Ecosystems: A Review on Prospecting of Anticancer Molecules from Fungi & Other Microbes
Abstract: Marine biota; namely, actinomycetes, bacteria, fungi, microalgae, green algae, oceanic weeds, mangroves, and other extremophiles constitute about 90% of the oceanic biomass. The organisms are taxonomically diverse, biologically productive/active, and biochemically unique. These unique biochemiques may act as a great source for the discovery of new bioactive molecules, including anticancer drugs. The marines produce medicinally potent biochemicals; namely, sulfated saccharides, polyphenols, and, sterols. Only a few of these alkaloids have …

Fluorescence Emission Enhancement in Crystalline Photonic Structures
Abstract: One of the two ways that a material that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiation can emit light is through fluorescence. Fluorspar is a substance that can be added to welding compounds to facilitate easier flow; the word fluorescent is derived from the Latin fluere, which means "to flow." LED lights, clothing that glows in "black light," or light sources that contain UV or blue light, and butterflies like …

Life Below Water
Abstract: Sustainable Development Goal 14 – Life below Water – calls us to protect and restore our oceans. It is a guarantee to eliminate pollution, encourage sustainable fishing practices, and create marine conservation zones. By prioritizing ocean health, we safeguard biodiversity and the livelihoods of billions, ensuring oceans continue to support life, inspire wonder, and sustain our planet for future generations. Covering over 70% of our planet, oceans support 80% of …

Marine Microbial Ecology: A Comprehensive Review of Interactions, Symbiosis, and Bioprospecting.
Abstract: Marine microorganisms constitute the largest and most dynamic fraction of Earth's biodiversity, governing vital ecosystem functions ranging from global biogeochemical cycling to host-specific symbiotic associations. This review provides a comprehensive synthesis of the complex interaction networks within marine microbial communities. We first explore the theoretical foundations of microbial niche construction and evolutionary dynamics in the ocean. Subsequent sections dissect micro-scale interactions within the phycosphere, where chemical gradients dictate cross-kingdom mutualisms …

Oceanmind Systems: AI-Driven Marine Life Intelligence for Climate Prediction and Ocean Ecosystem Stability
Abstract: Oceans regulate global climate systems, support biodiversity, and serve as critical carbon sinks, yet they remain under-monitored relative to their ecological importance. Traditional oceanographic methods rely heavily on satellite sensing, buoy networks, and periodic marine surveys, which often fail to capture real-time biological dynamics at micro-ecosystem levels. This paper introduces OceanMind Systems, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven marine intelligence framework that integrates marine life behavior, oceanographic data, and computational modeling to …
