Experimental Analysis of Physical Parameters in Treated Water
Abstract: During the first phase, the surface water treatment plant at Saidabad treats 225 million liters of water per day. In the treated water, turbidity, color, total coliform, fecal coliform, and hardness are reduced; on the other hand, conductivity and total dissolved solids increase. In the wet season, turbidity is high due to relatively coarse particle dispersions in river water. All other parameters, such as color, total and fecal coliform, hardness, …

Potable Water Quality Analysis of Akbarpura, KPK, Pakistan
Abstract: In Pakistan, supply of safe drinking water of international standard is very limited. Only around 30% population has access to piped drinking water, which has rarely been completely tested for health safety. About 70% population is drinking water of unknown quality. The only testing comes through human consumption and getting sick. This study is designed to investigate the water quality problems of Akbarpura, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. Samples were collected from the …

Freshwater Resources in Delhi: A Decadal Analysis of Land Use Changes
Abstract: The escalating global concern over the pollution of freshwater resources, driven by the amplifying stress and scarcity of freshwater, underscores the significance of this study. The investigation examined the alterations in land use and land cover (LULC) in Delhi, concurrently assessing the coliform count in water sources designated for drinking and other purposes. LANDSAT 7 satellite imagery scrutinized the LULC changes in Delhi over a decade (2011 to 2021) to …

Investigation of Pollution Status in River No. 2, Freetown, Sierra Leone, Using Physicochemical and Bacterial Indicators
Abstract: This study assessed the physicochemical and bacteriological quality of surface water in the River No. 2 watershed, Sierra Leone, through monthly sampling from March–August 2024 at upstream, midstream, and downstream sites. Analyses included temperature, turbidity, pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, ammonia, fluoride, sulfite, nitrate, lead, arsenic, chromium, and microbial indicators (Escherichia coli, fecal and non-fecal coliforms). Most physicochemical parameters met WHO drinking-water guidelines. pH (7.0–7.3), TDS (7–17 mg/L), turbidity …

Exploring Emerging Water Disinfection Technologies: A focus on Hydrodynamic Cavitation
Abstract: Availability of clean drinking water is an ongoing global demand. Contaminated water sources, inappropriate waste disposal, and inadequate hygiene procedures exacerbate it. These elements support the growth of pathogenic microbes like bacteria, viruses, and parasites, which cause a variety of diseases that are transmitted by water. Disinfection plays a vital role in water treatment processes by eliminating these pathogens and ensuring public health safety. Commonly used methods like Chlorination, Ozonation, …

Abstract: Background: The most common bacterial infections are Urinary Tract Infections (UTI), primarily caused by Escherichia coli (E. coli), a gram negative bacterium responsible for 80-90% of community-acquired UTIs. The rise of antibiotic-resistant E. coli strains has increased the demand for Homoeopathic remedies. This study explores the antibacterial efficacy of Uva ursi 200 and Cantharis vesicatoria 200, using Kirby-Bauer Disc Diffusion Method, by comparing the Zone of Inhibition (ZOI) of those …
