Some Asymptotic Power Points for Testing the Parameters of Two Generalized Uniform Distributions
Abstract: In this paper, after getting the general form of the power functions for testing the one-sided and two-sided tests for generalized uniform distribution. Power points of some of the power functions of asymptotic tests are calculated and presented. The asymptotic tests for testing the parameters of generalized uniform distribution requires the conditional distribution of the complete sufficient statistic of the parameters of interest and also that of the nuisance parameter. …

Asymptotic Tests for Truncation Parameters of several One-truncation Parameter Family of Distributions
Abstract: In this study, the authors have obtained the asymptotic tests for testing equality of truncation parameters of one truncation parameter family of distributions. The asymptotic conditional distribution of complete sufficient statistic of parameter of interest is obtained by conditioning the distribution of complete sufficient statistics of the nuisance parameters. Using this conditional distribution we have derived the asymptotic Uniformly Most Powerful Unbiased (UMPU) tests for testing hypothesis (i) one parameter …

The Asymptotic conditional distribution of complete sufficient statistics of the parameter of interest is obtained by conditioning the distribution of complete sufficient of nuisance parameter is held fixed, Using this conditional distribution we have derived the asymptotic Uniformly Most Powerful Unbiased (UMPU) tests for testing hypotheses (i) one parameter is larger than the another …

Testing of equality of K uniform distributions
Abstract: We have studied testing equality of several uniform distributions in this article. The necessary conditional distributions of the complete sufficient statistic of the parameter of interest have been derived by fixing the nuisance parameters. Thus, conditional distribution is used for deriving the test for equality of k-independent uniform distributions. As a special case of this test has been studied for two populations

Tests for Parameters of Two-parametric Uniform Distribution, u(θ_1,θ_2 )
Abstract: In this article, we have presented tests related to the parameters of uniform distribution defined on the interval (q1, q2). The conditional distribution of complete sufficient statistics of the parameter of interest is obtained by conditioning the distribution of complete sufficient statistics of the nuisance parameter to be held fixed. Using this conditional distribution, uniformly most powerful unbiased (UMPU) test or uniformly most powerful invariant (UMPI) asymptotic tests have been …

Testing for equalities of several multinomial distributions
Abstract: In this article we have studied the testing of parameters of several multinomial distributions. The necessary conditional distribution of complete sufficient statistic of the parameter of interest is obtained by conditioning the complete sufficient statistics of nuisance parameter to be held fixed .Using this conditional distribution we have derived uniformly most powerful unbiased (UMPU) test for testing the hypothesis (i)Equality of two independent multinomial distributions and (ii) testing one of …

An Exact Kolmogorov–Smirnov Test for the Negative Binomial Distribution with Unknown Probability of Success
Abstract: AbstractIn this paper, we develop an exact Kolmogorov–Smirnov goodness-of-fit test in the case of negative binomial distribution with an unknown probability of success. This test is conditional, with the test statistic being the maximum absolute difference between the empirical distribution function and its conditional expectation given the sample total. The results are not asymptotic, but exact. We illustrate the test with three examples in case the size parameter equals one …

Comparison of Powers for Testing Parameters of Two Negative-Exponential Distributions
Abstract: In this paper we make comparative study of testing the hypothesis of two independently distributed negative-exponential distributions after deriving the conditional distribution of complete sufficient statistic of interest, by fixing the sum of the transformed variable. We use it in testing the equality of both the parameters. Further the power function of the asymptotic test has been obtained for some points. Also the testing of equality of parameters has been …

Parametric Quantile Regression using Quantile-based Asymmetric Family of the Distributions
Abstract: Quantile regression is used for finding the effects of covariates on different quantiles of the response variable. The contribution of this article is to develop a theory of quantile regression using the Quantile-based asymmetric (QBA) family (similar to GAMLSS for mean regression) and then apply the proposed approach for analyzing COVID-19 data. More precisely, we estimate regression quantiles and investigate the asymptotic estimators under a generalized linear modeling framework, but …
