The ability of Henna Leaf Extract to affect The growth of some Fungi
Abstract: The study was conducted by preparing an aqueous extract of henna leaves, which were collected from A garden in a house located in Najaf Governorate was used to test the inhibitory effects of an extract against two fungal isolates: Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans. The extract was prepared in a series of concentrations: 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 mg/ml. The results showed an inhibitory effect of the concentrations used …

Isolation and Evaluation of Aspergillus Niger : A Fungi Implicated in Infectious Diseases and its application as potential Biofertilizer
Abstract: In the quest to improve the agronomic effectiveness of Rock Phosphate (RP), a widely available and cost-effective phosphate fertilizer, this study aimed to overcome its limited solubility by isolating fungal strains capable of solubilizing rock phosphate. Soil samples were collected from Garhmukteshwar, Hapur, for the isolation process. Among several isolates, three strains exhibited the highest rock phosphate solubilization within a seven-day timeframe, coinciding with a significant decrease in soil pH. …

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles: Antifungal Efficacy Against Aspergillus niger and Agricultural Benefits
Abstract: Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are gaining significant attention in agriculture due to their potent antifungal properties. This study focuses on evaluating the antifungal effects of green synthesized AgNPs derived from Aloe vera leaf extract against the pathogenic fungus Aspergillus niger. The results indicate that the synthesized nanoparticles exhibited a strong absorption maximum at 550 nm, indicative of surface plasmon resonance. UV-Vis spectroscopy was used to analyze the nanoparticles, and the solution …

Biodegradation of Plastic Waste Using Various Fungal Isolates from Plastic-Polluted Sites in Meerut: Analysis of Polymers and Composites
Abstract: By isolating microorganisms from a dumpsite containing low-density polyethylene (LDPE), the potential for microbial decomposition of plastic waste was studied. Four different strains of Aspergillus niger (fungus) were identified and used to biodegrade plastic waste. The isolated fungal strains included Aspergillus niger, Alternaria, A. fumigatus, A. flavus, and A. luchuensis. Predominant fungal strains, Aspergillus niger and Alternaria, were selected for polyethylene degradation under laboratory conditions. In a controlled shaker culture, …
