Detection and Prevention of Sybil Attack using Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm in Proximity of Closeness Centrality
Abstract: AbstractVehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) are the wireless network in which vehicles are equippedwith devices that communicates with each other via data packets. VANETs are mainlyadvocated for applications such as traffic collision detection, toll collection, controlling trafficcongestion, weather forecasting, road diversion warning, car maintenance etc. Security ofVANETs are vulnerable to various attacks such as Denial of Service (DoS), GPS spoofing, message alteration, black hole, wormhole attack, spamming attack, node impersonationattack, Sybil attack, …

Modified Search Solutions Based ABC with Mutation Algorithm for TSP
Abstract: Swarm intelligence systems are basically made up of simple agents’ population, which are interacting locally with each other and with their surroundings. The artificial bee colony algorithm (ABC) is for aging behavior based optimization algorithm. In this paper, modified version of ABC algorithm, called as ABCM, is used. In this algorithm, two equations of original ABC algorithm are modified: First is the search equation of employed bee and second is …

Swarm Intelligence: Nature-Inspired Problem Solving
Abstract: Swarm Intelligence (SI) is a computational paradigm inspired by the collective behavior of natural systems, such as flocks of birds, schools of fish, and colonies of ants. It involves decentralized, self- organized systems where simple agents follow simple rules, yet their interactions lead to complex global behaviors. SI has gained significant attention in recent years due to its potential applications in solving optimization problems, routing, scheduling, and artificial intelligence tasks. …

Wavelets-based Denoising by Optimizing Polynomial Threshold Function
Abstract: In this paper, a wavelets-based technique for denoising of one-dimensional signals is proposed which employs artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm for optimizing a new polynomial threshold function. The coefficients of the threshold function are optimized dynamically to maximize the output signal to noise ratio (SNR). ABC algorithm calculates the coefficients for maximum output SNR. The proposed technique is tested for three artificial signals, namely blocks, bumps and Doppler signals. Additive …

Optimal Thermal Generating Unit Commitment via Evolutionary Algorithms: A Review
Abstract: This paper presents a literature survey of economic load dispatch problem. The economic load dispatch (ELD) is one of the most important optimization problems of electrical power system. The aim of the ELD problem is to determine the power productions of total generating units from a system in order to have minimum fuel cost, and to meet the all constrains. Solving ELD involves conveying a precise model of optimization and …
