Experimental Investigation of Aerodynamic Characteristics of Dimpled 3D Aircraft Wing
Abstract: There is a strong demand for innovative designs, optimization of the aircraft components for their parts with respect to design, etc. One such innovation is by introduction of dimples in the wing of the aircraft. To study the effect of geometry modification of the wing, the present work compares the aerodynamic efficiency, ratio of lift to drag coefficients, along with different aerodynamic characteristics of an Inward and outward circular dimpled …

Failure Analyte of Helicopter Wing: A Study
Abstract: Summarised issued form is description of different failure cases of winged propulsions. Ethic is basic study from usual aircraft powered through rotary wing i.e., helicopters. Rotor wing composes lift capability by spins; otherwise, accessed score is obtained from aerodynamic lift. Rotor spins about an axis so that etiquette is aligned either vertical or side-to-side. Advent of rotary wing aircraft are that used to be practice is to take off and …

Balloon Deployment Strategies for Projectile Deterrence
Abstract: This paper presents a defense strategy inspired by historical precedents, aimed at neutralizing subsonic projectiles using a swarm of balloons filled with explosive and buoyant gases, such as hydrogen. The balloons are arranged in a swarm to effectively intercept multiple incoming projectiles. Numerous military and security uses are possible for them. Operating costs for lighter-than-air aircraft are lower than those of traditional fixed-wing aircraft. Lighter-than-air vehicles can be made less …

A Computational Study of Lift and Drag Characteristics for NACA 4415 and NACA 2412 Aerofoils
Abstract: The performance of an aerofoil is crucial in designing wind turbine blades, aircraft wings, and other aerodynamic surfaces. This project presents a comparative analysis of two widely used aerofoil profiles, NACA 4415 and NACA 2412, to study their lift and drag characteristics under different flow regimes. The aerofoil geometries were developed using the NACA four-digit notation and modeled in ANSYS Design Modeler. Numerical simulations were conducted in ANSYS Fluent for …

A Review on Aerospace Materials and Metallurgy
Abstract: Aerospace metalworking is comparable to the foundation of both space travel and transportation. It involves the scientific design and application of metals and alloys to offer components with the strength required for flight and the ability to survive harsh environments. Although other alloys feature cobalt or iron as the main ingredient, nickel makes up most of alloys used in aeronautical applications. When exceptionally high strength is required in moderate-temperature settings, …

Performance Analysis of GLARE Composites in Aerospace Engineering
Abstract: The fuel consumption of an aircraft is largely governed by its payload, which emphasizes the continuous demand for advanced lightweight structural materials to enhance the lift-to-weight ratio and improve overall fuel efficiency. Fiber Metal Laminates (FMLs) have emerged as a novel class of hybrid materials that combine alternating layers of thin metals with fiber-reinforced polymer composites, thereby offering mechanical properties superior to those of the individual constituents. Among the different …
