Tracer Application in Study of Reaction Kinetics using Duolite ARA-9366B and Duolite A-638
Abstract: Radiotracer isotopes 131I and 82Br were used to study the iodide and bromide ion-isotopic exchange reactions taking place in two anion exchange resins Duolite ARA-9366B (nuclear grade) and Duolite A-638 (non-nuclear grade) under different operational parameters like temperature and ionic concentration of exchanging medium. The results of present investigation indicate an existence of strong positive linear co-relationship between amount of ions exchanged and concentration of ionic solution; while existence of …

Non-destructive Application of Tracer Isotopes to Study the Kinetics of Iodide and Bromide Ion-isotopic Exchange Reactions in Anion Exchange Resins Indion-103 and Duolite A-611
Abstract: The present study is concerned with non-destructive application of radio-analytical technique for characterization of industrial grade ion exchange resins Indion-103 and Duolite A-611. The radioactive tracer isotopes 131I and 82Br were used to trace the kinetics of iodide and bromide ion-isotopic exchange reactions taking place in the two resins. It was observed that during bromide and iodide ion-isotopic exchange reactions, under identical experimental conditions of temperature remaining constant at 40 …

Nondestructive Technique in Study of Purolite NRW-5010 and Duolite A-638 Anion Exchange Resins
Abstract: The present paper is one of the interesting applications of radioactive isotopes in nondestructive technique for performance evaluation of anion exchange resins Purolite NRW-5010 and Duolite A-638. The radioactive isotopes 131I and 82Br were used to trace the kinetics of ion-isotopic exchange reactions taking place between the resin surface and external ionic solution. It was observed that for bromide ion-isotopic exchange reaction at 35.0°C, when the concentration of bromide ions …

Kinetics of Ion-Isotopic Exchange Reactions using Nuclear Grade Resins Purolite NRW-4000 and Purolite NRW-60
Abstract: AbstractThe paper deals with an application of nondestructive radio isotopic tracer technique in performance evaluation of two nuclear grade anion exchange resins Purolite NRW-4000 and Purolite NRW-6000. The technique was used to study the kinetics of bromide and iodide ion-isotopic exchange reactions taking place between the external ionic solution and the resin surface for which 131I and 82Br were used as tracer isotopes. It was observe that at a constant …

Performance Evaluation Studies of Purolite NRW-5010 and Indion AGR Anion Exchange Resins by Radioactive Tracer Technique
Abstract: AbstractThe characterization of organic base anion exchange resins Purolite NRW-5010 and Indion AGR was made by application of short lived radio tracer isotopes 131I and 82Br. The characterization of the two resins was based on their performance during iodide and bromide ion-isotopic reaction taking place between the resin surface and the external labeled ionic solution. The exchange reactions were carried out by using the ionic solution in the concentration range …

Radiopharmaceuticals use as a nuclear medicine for a Treatment of Disease
Abstract: Radiopharmaceuticals are radioactive substances that contain a bonded radionuclide with the intention of directing the radionuclide to a specific place for treatment or imaging. Radiopharmaceuticals are employed in nuclear medicine for cancer therapy as well as other therapeutic and diagnostic applications. Therefore, the primary goal of this study is to identify the key metal complexes and radioactive elements utilized in radiopharmaceutical applications. The sodium and methylenediphosphonate (MDP-99mTc) complexes, along with …

Thermodynamic Concept to Evaluate the Performance of Organic Base Ion Exchange Resins Purolite NRW-5050 and Indion-870 Using Short-Lived Radioisotopes
Abstract: The present paper deals with application of short-lived radiotracer isotopes to understand the performance of Purolite NRW-5050 (nuclear grade) and Indion-870 (non-nuclear grade) anion exchange resins. The performance evaluation was done based on thermodynamics of iodide and bromide ion-isotopic exchange reactions. It was observed that for Purolite NRW-5050 resins during the bromide ion-isotopic exchange reaction, the enthalpy and energy of activation values calculated were 3287.8 and 5869.3 J.mol-1 respectively, which …
