Synthesis, Molecular Docking and Biological Evaluation of Novel Chlorobenzenesulfonamide Analogues of Ibuprofen as Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Diabetic and Anti-Alzheimer Agents
Abstract: In this work, we have synthesized novel chlorobenzensulfonamide tertiary amide based analogues of Ibuprofen (Ibu) and investigated them for their anti-bacterial, anti-diabetic and anti-Alzheimer activities. In the first step, Ibu was converted to amide derivatives by incorporating different aromatic amines. These were further converted into sulfonamide analogues (Sul-Ibu, 1-9) by treating it with p-chlorobenzensulfonyl chloride. Sul-Ibu (1-9) were screened against S. aureus, B. subtilis, S. mutans, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, …

Development and Characterization of a Solid Dispersion of an Anti-Diabetic Drug Using Pectin as a Natural Polymer
Abstract: Aim: The current study sought to improve the solubility and oral bioavailability of gliclazide by creating solid dispersions and oral dispersible tablets (ODTs) with enhanced physicochemical characteristics and maintained antidiabetic action. Methods: Preformulation studies were conducted to evaluate the physicochemical properties of gliclazide, including physical appearance, melting point, solubility, and partition coefficient. Solid dispersions were prepared using hydrophilic carriers-pectin and PVP K30, and subsequently characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy …

Novel Nanotherapeutics for the Management of Diabetes
Abstract: Diabetes is a severe chronic disorder with hyperglycemia, either due to dysfunctional pancreas(Type I) or due to malfunctioned glucose utilizing entities like: liver, straight muscle or adipocytes (Type II). Type 1 or Insulin-dependent/Juvenile diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus or Non-Insulin dependent/Adult-onset diabetes are the two broad classifications of diabetes. In case of type 1 diabetes injectable insulin is the major form of medication given and in case of Type …
