Handwritten Digit Recognition Using Logistic Regression, SVM, KNN and CNN Algorithms
Abstract: The style of handwriting varies from person to person. Handwritten numbers are not always the same size, orientation and width. To develop a system to understand this, the machine recognizes handwritten digit images and classifies them into 10 digits (from 0 to 9). The recognition of handwritten digits is a technology which is used for the automatic recognizing and detecting handwritten digital data through various deep lerning and machine learningmodels. …

Adsorption of Chromium (VI) Ions in Aqueous Solutions by Tea Waste and Sawdust as a Low Cost Adsorbent
Abstract: The chromium (VI) ions from aqueous solutions by two adsorbents i.e. tea waste and sawdust was studied under a batch mode. An initial pH of 2.5 was most favorable for chromium (VI) removal by both the adsorbents. The results obtained for the final concentration of chromium (VI) at a pH range of 2-8 indicated that a combined effect of adsorption and reduction was involved in the chromium (VI) removal especially …

Short Communication Defluidization Using High-Alkali Content Fuels in Fluidized Bed Biomass Gasifiers
Abstract: A major problem however often encountered in fluidized beds is bed agglomeration, which may result in total defluidization, leading to unscheduled downtime and additional costs. This problem is found to be critical in fluidized bed combustion and gasification of biomass fuels which have high ash and alkali contents [1]. Biomass fuels, especially herbaceous plants, often contain significant amounts of silicon, potassium and calcium, together with chlorine and sulphur. These elements …

Abstract: Sillimanite is an alumino-silicate mineral with the chemical formula Al2SiO5. Sillimanite in general is concentrated by gravity separation methods followed by froth flotation. Hydrophobicity is induced to sillimanite surface by adsorbing surfactant (oleic acid/oleate) molecules selectively and the mineral is collected into froth as concentrate. Other reagents used are; sodium silicate to depress garnet and silica and sodium hydroxide to adjust the pulp pH. In the present study, hydrotropes (sodium …
