Evaluation of Modified Nanoparticles' Effects on Polypropylene Composites
Abstract: Numerous sectors use nanoparticles and nanocomposites in a range of applications, including medicine, textiles, cosmetics, agriculture, optics, food packaging, optoelectronics, semiconductors, aerospace, building materials, and catalysis. Polymeric nanocomposites, which combine organic polymers with inorganic nanoparticles, are a novel family of materials that perform better than their microparticle counterparts. They should therefore enhance the field of engineering applications. A polymer matrix's characteristics can be drastically changed by the addition of inorganic …

Synergistic Effects of Hybridized Nano-Silica and Hemp Fiber Reinforcement on Bio-Epoxy Composites
Abstract: Natural fiber-reinforced bio-epoxy composites have become promising sustainable alternatives to conventional synthetic-fiber petroleum-based materials, but are often limited by low fiber-matrix interfacial bonding, low thermal stability, and high moisture absorption which limit their application in structural applications. These issues are discussed in this work, by carrying out a systematic investigation of the synergistic effects of the hybridization of nano-silica particles with alkali-treated hemp fibers in a bio-epoxy matrix the composites …

A Study on Friction Stir Processing Effected on Hardness and Tensile Properties When Single Pass and Double Pass Is Considered Using Al 6061 And Steel Material
Abstract: The principle of friction stir welding was initially employed to build the emerging technology known as friction stir processing, or FSP. Effect of Nanoclay Loading on Physical and Mechanical Properties of Epoxy Composites
Abstract: The effects of multilayer silicate loading on hardness, tensile, and impact properties were examined by developing epoxy–nanoclay composites with 0–5 wt% nanoclay. A desirable compromise between reduced void content and higher Shore D hardness was reached with an ideal nanoclay loading of 3 wt%, which reflected improved load transfer and increased matrix stiffness as a result of limited polymer chain mobility. Tensile strength and modulus rose up to 3 wt% …

Enhancing Mechanical Performance in Reinforced Hybrid Composites using Silicon Carbide and Aluminium Oxide Fillers
Abstract: Hybrid composites are becoming useful because they have better qualities than regular composites. This study examines the conventional properties of composites that utilise SiC and Al2O3 as filler components. Finite Element Analysis of Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes Enabled Single Lap Joint
Abstract: This study uses finite element analysis (FEA) to examine the strength of adhesively bonded single lap joints with and without Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT) added to the adhesive. Shear strength analysis is performed by applying a tensile load that generates shear stress at the overlap between the two substrates bonded with adhesive. STUDIES ON MECHANICAL, THERMAL AND PERMEATION PROPERTIES OF HDPE (BLOW GRADE) WITH MICROSILICA CLAY
Abstract: HDPE is widely used in container applications. The mechanical properties and barrier properties can be further improved by the addition of reinforcements like nanoclays. But, however the cost of nanoclays are higher about Rs.5000 – 6000/kg whereas micro silica cost is economical about Rs.450-1000/kg. Hence we used micro silica of 270nm particle size in this project with HDPE blow grade. HDPE (High density polyethylene) was melt blended with micro silica …
