Behavioural Assessment of Muscle Development by Downregulating Different Types of Integrins in Drosophila melanogaster
Abstract: Muscles play a major role in movement and diverse activities required for survival of an organism. In Drosophila, larval crawling and peristalsis are such kinds of rhythmic movements and are driven by muscle contractions. Larval crawling involves random walk on the solid surface whereas peristalsis involves one full body wall muscle contraction from anterior to posterior or in reverse direction in fluid. Accuracy in the development of muscles is an …

An Overview on Powder X-Ray Diffraction and Its Current Applications
Abstract: AbstractIndustries and research centres are continuously developing novel materials with light weight, higher strength and which can retain their properties at environmental temperatures. The cited properties mainly depend upon micro-structure and chemical composition of materials. Many research works focused to characterize the materials by different experiment techniques. Among them powder x-ray diffraction (XRD) is a most prominent, non-destructive technique used for investigation, characterization, and quality control of crystalline materials. Numerous …

What if the "Big Bang" was not the Beginning Point of our Observable Universe?
Abstract: The Big Bounce theory envisions the Big Bang as the start of a period of expansion followed by a period of contraction. According to this viewpoint, there was a Big Crunch (another singularity) followed by a Big Bang, or, more simply, a Big Bounce. This implies that we could be at any point in an infinite series of universes, or that the current universe is the very first interaction. But …

Dual Dynamic Covalent Microcapsule Shells for Autonomous and Triggered Self-Healing in Polymer Matrix Composites
Abstract: We present a self-healing polymer composite system in which the traditional passive microcapsules are replaced by a dual dynamic covalent vitrimer shell. The shell consists of three interlocked layers, one of which is a brittle silica layer used to fracture at high stresses, and another is a vitrimer network, which employs disulfide metathesis and transesterification chemistries for autonomous healing of sub-critical microcracks. The shell design allows the realization of two …
