Image Preprocessing Techniques
Abstract: ABSTRACTPreprocessing method is an important step, specifically for low-quality picture images. This method is robust to lighting variations and produces images with very little noise and consistent stroke width. The process computes a “surface” of background intensities at every point in the image that performs adaptive thresholding based on this result. The surface is estimated by identifying regions of low resolution text and interpolating neighboring background intensities into these regions. …

Jaccard Index Versus Preferential Attachment: A Comparative Study of Similarity Based Link Prediction Techniques in Complex Networks
Abstract: Link prediction is a critical task in network analysis that aims to forecast potential connections between nodes. Numerous methods have been developed to address this challenge, with similarity-based techniques gaining substantial attention due to their simplicity and effectiveness. This research work presents a comprehensive review of two prominent similarity-based link prediction techniques, namely the Jaccard Index and Preferential Attachment. The Jaccard Index measures the similarity between two nodes based on …

Medical Tourism in India: Perspective of Unani Medicine
Abstract: Medical tourism has emerged as a one of the trending markets across the globe. It encompasses primarily and predominantly biomedical procedures, combined with travel and tourism such as when consumers elect to travel across international borders to receive some form of medical treatment, which may span the full range of medical services. Though travelling abroad for health benefits is not a recent concept, it has gained more momentum and media …

History, Treatment, Tool and Technique of Swine Flu
Abstract: The appearance of influenza A (H1N1) is more than 91 years has led to a universal pandemic. In the current scenario, swine influenza A (H1N1) (S-OIV) infections have been updated. On March 18, 2009, a reorganized flu virus was first reported from Mexico. This virus quickly circulates in neighboring United States and Canada and from there to the rest of the world. In India, H1N1 was first identified in April …

Acoustic Characteristics of Person with Labial Cancer
Abstract: Oral cancer may arise as a primary lesion originating in any of the tissue in the mouth, by metastasis from a distant site of origin, or by extension from a neighboring anatomic structure, such as nasal cavity. Patients with tongue and lip cancer are particularly prone to speech and swallowing difficulties. The impact of labial cancer on speech relies on the area and size of growth. The present study was …

Artificial Intelligence and Constitutive Modeling Equations for Predictive Design of High-Performance Polymer Composites
Abstract: Growing polymer composite applications demand accurate mechanical prediction, yet complex interactions and conventional constitutive models limit predictive capability and require extensive calibration. To report these challenges, this research recommends a combined Artificial Intelligence (AI) and constitutive modeling approach based on an Enhanced Tasmanian Devil Optimizer-tuned Residual Neural Network with Multilayer Perceptron (ETDO-ResNet-MLP) for the predictive design of high-performance polymer composites. The study uses a publicly available Polymer Composite Property Dataset …
