Seasonal Dynamics of Coastal Landscapes: A Critical Review Using Remote Sensing and GIS
Abstract: Coastal landscapes are among the most dynamic environments on Earth, undergoing continuous transformation due to both natural processes and anthropogenic activities. In India, particularly along the southern coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, shoreline morphology and sediment transport patterns are significantly influenced by seasonal monsoons, cyclones, storm surges, waves, tides, and changing river discharges. These factors contribute to varying rates of coastal erosion, accretion, inundation, and land- …

Integrated Polarimetric-Interferometric Fusion for Heterogeneous Urban Signature Extraction
Abstract: Mapping heterogeneous urban environments using conventional Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) backscatter intensity frequently produces classification errors due to spectral similarity between sparse built-up features, bare soil, and dry vegetation a challenge especially acute in semi-arid Deccan Plateau settings. This research presents a dual-path Pol- InSAR fusion framework that integrates polarimetric scattering decomposition and interferometric coherence stability to extract heterogeneous urban signatures over Beed Taluka, Maharashtra (area: 1,561.31 km²). A temporal …

Morphological, Phenological and Yield assessment of Cosmic Yantras on Solanum lycopersicum L. and Pisum sativum L. crop plants under normal climatic conditions
Abstract: Vegetables are edible plants or parts of plants (roots, stems, leaves, flowers and seeds) that are consumed for their nutritional value. They are rich in vitamins, fiber and antioxidants. The study was conducted in cropping season (April to October 2024) to observe the comparative effect of cosmic yantras and organic manures on growth and morphology of Pisum sativum and Solanum lycopersicum under normal climatic conditions. The objective of this research …

MAP: The Invisible Shield Protecting Our Product's Journey
Abstract: Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) has established itself as one of the most reliable and widely adopted preservation technologies in the modern food industry, offering a practical means of extending shelf life while maintaining the sensory and nutritional integrity of food products throughout storage and distribution. The fundamental working principle revolves around deliberately altering the gaseous composition within sealed packages, primarily through the strategic use of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen …

Explainable GeoAI-Based Multi-Temporal Remote Sensing Framework for Early Detection of Climate-Induced Land Cover Transformation
Abstract: Climate change has emerged as one of the primary drivers of rapid land cover transformation, affecting ecosystems, agricultural productivity, biodiversity, and regional sustainability. Traditional remote sensing approaches often face challenges in detecting subtle and early-stage land cover changes due to limitations in temporal analysis and model interpretability. This study proposes an Explainable GeoAI-based multi-temporal remote sensing framework for the early detection of climate-induced land cover transformation using multi-source satellite imagery …

Anticancer, Nutritional & Other Therapeutic Potentials of Microgreens
Abstract: Microgreens are young, tender greens, immature greens (require light for photosynthesis and growing medium) that are developed from the seeds of cereals, herbs, legumes, and vegetables. These are used to enhance the color, texture, or flavor of salads and main dishes. The immature plants are harvested between 7 and 21 days, depending on the variety. They are referred to as "living superfoods," "functional foods," or "nutraceuticals," because they are rich …

Properties of Biodegradable Films based on Pectin, Mango Kernel Flour and Unrefined Palm Oil
Abstract: This study allowed to develop biodegradable films based on pectin, incorporating mango kernel flour and unrefined palm oil, whose physical and mechanical properties were investigated. Results highlighted the feasibility of developing of these composite films. The film properties showed variability in color, physical, barrier and mechanical properties, depending to concentration of ingredients. Biodegradable films obtained are homogeneous, non-cracked, uniform, and color is mainly orange. Opacity of films increased with the …

Isolation, Purification, and Identification of Antibiotic-Resistant Bacterial Strain from Food Stuffs
Abstract: The widespread presence of bacteria in foodstuffs poses significant trouble to health and food safety. Pathogens in consumable products increases the transmission of resistance genes to human, potentially compromising the efficacy of conventional antibiotics. This study aims to isolate, purify, and identify antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains from food items, meals, and vegetables. The investigation employed selective culture techniques, antibiotic susceptibility assays, and molecular identification methods to detect and characterize resistant strains. …

Understanding the Role of Remote Sensing Techniques in Monitoring Air Quality for Effective Adherence to Environmental Impact Assessment Practices in Nigeria
Abstract: The paper reviews the Nigerian Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act, outlining the established air quality thresholds and emission caps for stationary sources. The standard applies to; common pollutants like sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, particulate matter and nitrogen oxides; toxic metals such as arsenic, nickel, cadmium and mercury; as well as volatile organic compounds, ammonia, antimony, zinc, formaldehyde and radon. It also describes the major classifications of remote sensing applications, including …
