Comparative Assessment of Conversion Degree, Resin Tag Depth, and Mineral Deposition in Adhesive Resin Enhanced with Inorganic Nanofillers such as Cerium Dioxide and Tantalum Oxide Nanoparticles
Abstract: The World Health Organization (WHO) characterizes dental caries as the deterioration of tooth enamel resulting from acids generated by microbial activity on carbohydrates. Untreated dental caries can lead to pain, eating and sleeping difficulties, and systemic health issues, ultimately diminishing the quality-of-life Composite restorative materials moderately became one of the most used restorative materials for anterior restorations and also is used more extensively for restoring posterior teeth which are having …

Advanced Functional Nanocomposites: Graphene Oxide Integration into Polyvinyl Alcohol Matrix
Abstract: This research explores how incorporating graphene oxide (GO) into polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) can improve its mechanical and thermal characteristics, with the goal of creating multifunctional nanocomposites suitable for advanced technological applications. GO was introduced into the PVA matrix at 0.5, 1, and 2 wt% via a scalable solution casting method. The resulting nanocomposites were characterized mechanically, thermally, and spectroscopically. Tensile testing revealed a significant improvement in mechanical performance, with tensile …

Experimental Study on the Wear Mechanisms of Cutting Tools in High-Performance Machining
Abstract: Because high-performance machining (HPM) may increase output and improve product quality, it is essential for modern production. The quick wear of cutting tools under high-stress circumstances, however, presents serious difficulties that affect surface smoothness, tool life, and cost-effectiveness. Through an analysis of the impacts of cutting speed, feed rate, tool material, and cooling techniques, this work explores the wear processes impacting cutting tools in HPM. Advanced spectroscopy and microscopy procedures …

Degradation of Building Materials by Corrosive Pollutants
Abstract: Fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) is used for the corrosion suppression of reinforced concrete structures (RCS). One of the main issues with reinforced concrete constructions is corrosion. It interacts with acids, alkalis and salts to produce disintegration in building materials components. Pollutants and effluents speed up disbanding inside and outside reinforced structures. Bio-wastes come in contact of building materials to develop miro and macro-organism and these organisms release acid substances to …

Study the Impact of Corrosive Pollutants on Building Materials Corrosion
Abstract: Reinforced concrete structures (RCS) may be made more resistant to corrosion by using fiber reinforced polymers (FRP). One of the primary concerns with reinforced concrete constructions is corrosion. It causes disintegration in building material components by interactions with salts, acids, and alkalis. Both within and outside of reinforced properties, pollutants and effluents accelerate disbanding. When bio-waste and building materials come into contact, microorganisms and macro organisms, grow and emit acid …

Polymer-Based Film Coatings for Enhancing Drug Stability and Shelf-Life
Abstract: Pharmaceutical stability is a crucial factor in ensuring drug efficacy and safety throughout its shelf-life. Polymer-based film coatings have emerged as an effective strategy to enhance drug stability by protecting active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) from environmental stressors such as moisture, oxygen, temperature fluctuations, and light exposure. These coatings act as physical barriers that prevent degradation, improve mechanical integrity, and enable controlled drug release. Various types of polymers are employed for …

Performance Evaluation of Kevlar-Sisal-S-Glass Hybrid Composites with Ceramic Fillers for Structural Applications
Abstract: This study examines the mechanical properties of hybrid composite laminates reinforced with Kevlar, sisal, and S-glass fibers, and incorporating ceramic fillers—silicon carbide (SiC) and aluminum oxide (Al2O3)—within an epoxy matrix. The hand lay-up method was utilized to produce the laminates, ensuring a uniform fiber stacking sequence and including 10% filler material. Two composite variations were synthesized: one incorporating SiC and the other Al₂O₃, and both underwent tensile, flexural, hardness, and …
