Design and Analysis of Bootstrap Sample and Hold Circuit
Abstract: This paper describes the design and implementation of open-loop sample and hold-circuit using bootstrap technique, which can be used as front end sampling circuit for high-speed analog-to-digital converters. Different design criteria, viz., speed, power, resolution, linearity, noise and harmonic analysis have been dealt with. Both theoretical analysis and simulation results are carried out. The bootstrap circuit is designed and then compared in a 0.18 and 0.35 μm CMOS process. It …

Binary GA for Sidelobe Reduction and Null Steering in 5G Array
Abstract: This paper presents a comprehensive performance evaluation of a Binary Genetic Algorithm (BGA) for optimizing radiation characteristics of an active phased array antenna used in fifth-generation (5G) wireless communication systems. The primary objective is to achieve effective null steering while maintaining the desired main beam direction and simultaneously reducing the side lobe level (SLL). These improvements are essential for minimizing co-channel interference, enhancing spatial selectivity, and improving the Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio …

Gold Nanoparticle Size, Biodistribution, and Toxicity: Insights from DualEnergy CT
Abstract: Dual-energy and spectral computed tomography (CT) have emerged as powerful platforms for noninvasive, quantitative mapping of nanoparticle biodistribution in vivo. By exploiting the energy-dependent attenuation profiles of high-atomic-number (high-Z) materials, these systems enable material decomposition and element-specific imaging, thereby distinguishing nanoparticle signals from those of soft tissues and conventional iodinated contrast agents. Photon-counting spectral CT further enhances this capability by binning individual photons into multiple energy channels, improving spatial resolution, …

Performance Evaluation of PAPR Reduction in OFDM System
Abstract: OFDM is a bandwidth efficient multicarrier modulation which has gained a tremendous focus in recent years because of its high spectral efficiency; multipath delay spread tolerance, effectiveness against impulse noise and frequency diversity. However, some challenging issues still remain unsolved in the design of the OFDM systems. One of the major problems is high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of transmitted OFDM signals. A large PAPR brings disadvantages like increased complexity …

Reduction of Ocular Artifacts in Single Channel EEG by EEMD-IMF Thresholding
Abstract: AbstractElectroencephalogram (EEG) is a widely used signal for analyzing the activities of the brain and usually contaminated with artifacts due to the movements of eye, heart, muscles and power line interference. Among these ocular activities creates significant artifacts and makes the analysis difficult. In this paper, ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) inspired by wavelet thresholding is used for the correction of ocular artifacts (OA) in EEG signals. Unlike the conventional …

Failed Component Image Acquisition Quality Optimization for Machine Vision System
Abstract: AbstractWith the rapid development of the global semiconductor industry, electronic products are required to have new ideas, diversified functions, and thinness and shortness. The ball grid array (BGA) packaging technique arranges solder balls in a matrix mode on the bottom of the component substrate, so as to increase the functional density. The dye stain test is extensively used for array component failure analysis; however, the operation takes time and extends …

Comparison Between Reed–Solomon and BCH Code with Various Modulation Schemes Over Coding Gain and Coding Rate
Abstract: The main objective of this research paper is to make a comparison between the performance of Reed-Solomon (RS) and Bose–Chaudhuri–Hocquenghem (BCH) codes across different modulation schemes concerning coding gain and coding rate within an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel system, while maintaining a constant transmission bandwidth. In this paper bit error rate (BER) versus signal/noise (S/N) performance of a Simulink model is validated with MATLAB results for a RS …
