A Model Approach of Controlling Coning in Oil Rim Reservoirs
Abstract: Water and gas coning in oil rim reservoirs poses serious hindrance to optimizing oil production in the thin oil beds as unwanted fluids tend to replace oil in the production stream. This invariably limits the ultimate oil recovery. In this study, semi-analytical models of estimating critical rate and optimum horizontal well placement were developed to control coning tendencies in oil rim reservoirs. The models were developed through semi-analytical analysis of …

Solutions to Problems Faced in Well Log Analysis in fractured metamorphic Reservoir Systems Due To Multiple Porosities and Lithology’s
Abstract: Metamorphic rocks are the most bottomless non-terrigenous sedimentary rock and are made essentially out of transformative minerals. Most metamorphic rocks shape from calcareous stores that collect in marine conditions running from salt marshes to reefs to profound sea bowls. Unmistakable and one of a kind parts of transformative rocks are their dominatingly intrabasinal starting point, their essential reliance on natural exercises for their constituents and their powerlessness to change by …

Semi-Elliptical Load Thick Beam Analysis Using 5th Order Shear Deformation Theory
Abstract: A 5th order shear deformation theory considering transverse shear deformation effect is presented for static flexure analysis of isotropic beams with built in ends. The considered displacement field accounts for non-linear variation of in-plane displacements as well as transverse displacement through the thickness of beam. The condition of zero transverse shear stresses on the top and bottom surface of beam is fulfilled. Governing equations and boundary conditions of the theory …

Effect of Outriggers Location on Performance of RC Building Subjected to Loss of a Column
Abstract: Progressive collapse denotes a failure of substantial part of the structure, causing greater damage to the structure than the initial impact, which has been initiated by failure of a relatively small part of the structure such as failure of any vertical load carrying elements (typically columns). Failure of large part of any structure will result into substantial loss of human lives and natural resources. Therefore, it is important to prevent …

Static Flexure of Thick Fixed Beams Subjected to Cosine Loading using Refined Shear Deformation Theory
Abstract: The theory is developed to analyze the thick fixed beam considering the effect of transverse shear deformation. The important feature of this theory is that the transverse shear stresses can be obtained directly using constitutive relationship. While developing the theory the number of variables is kept same as that of first order shear deformation theory. As the theory satisfies the zero shear stress condition on the top and bottom of …

Thermal Response of Thick Beam Subjected to Thermo-mechanical Loads by Using HyperbolicShear Deformation Theory
Abstract: In this paper, a hyperbolic shear deformation theory (HPSDT) taking into account transverse shear deformation effect is presented for thermo-mechanical stress analysis of thick isotropic beam subjected to thermo-mechanical. The displacement field contains two variables. The hyperbolic sine and cosine function is used in the displacement field in terms of thickness Co-ordinate to represent the effect of shear deformation. The most important feature of the theory is that, the transverse …

History and Development of Design of Regime Channels: A State of the Art Review
Abstract: Channels carrying sediment laden water and constructed in erodible alluvial materials must be designed to be silt stable or in regime such canals by definition neither scour nor silt. The design of channel involves the selection of channel alignment, shape, size and bottom slope. In general, a channel changesincessantly in its position, shape and slope, as a consequence of hydraulic forces acting on its bed and banks. The design of …

A New Hyperbolic Shear Deformation Theory for Flexure of Thick Simply Supported Beam
Abstract: A new hyperbolic shear deformation theory for flexure of simply supported thick or deep beam, taking into account transverse shear deformation effects, is developed. The number of variables in the present theory is same as that in the hyperbolic shear deformation theory. The governing differential equations and boundary conditions are obtained by using the principle of virtual work. The trigonometric function is used in displacement field in terms of thickness …

On a Nanocomposite Metal Oxide Thin-film Transistor with Nanofilm Gate Dielectric Material: Material Chemistry, Sol–Gel Process and Electronic Worthiness
Abstract: ABSTRACT : ILO based MOTFT is fabricated with PBZ gate dielectric. PBZ is formed over doped Si substrate by cheap sol-gel process. Thin film PBZ is analysed with XRD, UV-Vis and AFM. IZO is used as bottom gate to contact TFT. This device needs only 5V as operating voltage, and so is good for lower electronics <40V. It shows excellent e-mobility 4.5cm2/V/s, with on/off ratio 5x105 and sub-threshold swing 0.35V/decade.

Ensuring the Protection of Flood Embankments: A Vital Necessity
Abstract: In the face of flooding events, safeguarding flood embankments becomes imperative. These situationsoften involve rivers with significant water depth and velocity, leading to the exertion of considerablethrust due to the presence of standing water and the flow's speed. These embankments are typicallyconstructed using compacted non-cohesive soil. To prevent erosion of the embankment, it is crucial thatthe thrust of water applied to it remains within the bearing capacity limits of the …
