Biosynthesis, Characterization and Antibacterial Studies of Silver Nanoparticles from Tamil Nadu Major Crop Anacardium occidentale
Abstract: Recent studies have shown that Silver Nanoparticles have physical, optical and catalytic properties. Present work involves the eco-friendly and reproducible synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles from the Anacardium occidentale leaves extract. The synthesized silver Nanoparticle from 1 mM AgNO3 solution through the leaf extract were characterizing was monitored using Ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectrophotometer, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FT-IR).Scanning …

Antibiotic Resistance Profiles of Salmonella Isolated from Al-Gharraf River and Iraqi Sewage
Abstract: Salmonella is a Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. It has a rod-shaped (bacillus) structure. Salmonella is a prominent contributor to gastrointestinal sickness worldwide. In addition, it is the causative agent of more systemic severe disorders such as typhoid and paratyphoid fevers. Salmonella is primarily recognized as pathogens transmitted by water and food to people and animals. Salmonella is often found in water-related epidemics, even though it is routinely …

Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Activities of Commercially Available Essential Oils and Their Oleoresins
Abstract: AbstractThe objectives of this study were to evaluate and compare in vitro antibacterial and antioxidant activities of commercially available oregano, rosemary, sage and thyme essential oils (EOs) against their corresponding oleoresins (ORs) for potential application in food packaging systems. Thyme EO showed the best antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas fluorescens (MIC values ranging 0.4 ± 0.1 − 8.7 ± 2.3 mg/mL). Overall, the antimicrobial …

Identification of Bacterial Strain from Waste Decay Material Using 16s rRNA Ribotyping
Abstract: Ribotyping is a classical technique in molecular studies where conserved and unique DNA sequences, more specifically 16s RNA, are investigated to differentiate among strains of microorganisms. This method was utilized in the current study to identify the strains of bacteria present in waste decaying matter. Waste material was collected from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi campus, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, and cultured for bacterial growth. Purified bacterial cultures were …

Lonar Soda Lake: A Natural Habitat of the Industrially Important Diverse Alkaline Protease Producers
Abstract: Soda lakes, soda deserts and alkaline springs are the natural primary habitats for the occurrence of industrially important alkaline protease producers. Alkaline proteases are preferred for industrial use from the extreme alkaline habitats since the proteases from such habitats can withstand at high pH and thereby fulfill the current industrial need and global demand. In this scenario, we report the isolation and identification of 21 bacterial isolates from the Lonar …

APPLICATION OF AGRO BASED RESUIDALS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SURACTANT ON IOR USING MICROBES
Abstract: Utilization of surfactants for IOR is an accepted technique with high potential. However, technology application is frequently limited by cost. Biosurfactants (surface-active molecules produced by microorganisms) are commonly used in specialty markets such as food and textiles and have potential for IOR application. Currently, biosurfactants are not widely utilized in the petroleum industry due to high production costs associated with use of expensive substrates and inefficient product recovery methods. The …

Pathogenesis and Treatment of Tuberculosis (T.B) Disease
Abstract: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious illness spread through the air that is caused by organisms from the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. M. tuberculosis is a lung infection in primary stage, but it can infect any area of the body. M. tuberculosis infection can progress from latent TB infection, in which the bacteria are isolated within granulomas, to infectious infection, in which the patient develops symptoms such as cough, fever, night sweats, …
