Abstract: Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) represents a significant cause of cerebrovascular accident. Numerous intracranial or systemic disorders may generate CVT, thus, a thorough etiologic assessment is needed. Among the non-infectious causes of CVT, congenital thrombophilia, Factor V Leiden mutation and Prothrombin (G20210A) mutation in particular, are the commonest.
