Synthesis, Characterization, and Thermogravimetric Analysis of Polylactic Acid-Based Bio-Adhesive for Industrial Applications
Abstract: This study investigated the synthesis, characterization, and thermogravimetric analysis of polylactic acid (PLA)-based bio-adhesives for industrial applications. The adhesive was synthesized using an emulsion polymerization method with varying compositions of PLA and vinyl acetate. The physicochemical, mechanical, and thermal properties of the synthesized adhesives were assessed through pH analysis, viscosity measurement, peel strength evaluation, tack tests, biodegradability investigations, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and Thermogravimetric Analysis …

H2 Production by Methanol Steam Reforming over Copper Impregnated Anodized Aluminum Oxide (AAO)
Abstract: Hydrogen production by methanol steam reforming (MSR) is easy and simple as compared to other reforming methods using fossil fuels such as methane steam reforming. The catalysts for MSR are well developed and available commercially. When constructing a small or micro reformer, the catalyst often needs to be coated on the wall of the metal substrate. In this case, the bonding between the metal surface and the catalyst layer must …

Removal of Toxic Metals from Industrial Wastewater by using Natural Adsorbent
Abstract: Heavy metal pollution has become one of the most serious environmental problem nowadays. Numerous investigation have been conducted for removing heavy metals by utilizing agricultural waste which have caught more attraction for its advantages and removal efficiency. Treatment process for removal of toxic metals include Bioadsorption, Precipitation, Ion Exchange, Reverse osmosis, Electrochemical treatment, Membrane Filtration, Evaporation, Flotation, Oxidation. Instead of using commercial materials, we have worked on inexpensive materials such …

Analysis of Natural Pigments and its Application on Various Fields towards the Eco-Friendly Environment
Abstract: The pigments that are found naturally in the environment are most likely to be said as "earth colour" or "earth pigment". The traditional pigments are observed to have all the substances that are available on the natural environment and are of more economic values. The pigments as a natural dye are observed to be safe, highly efficient and eco- friendly. These organic colorants are observed to contain oxygen, carbon with …

Solid Waste on GITAM University, Hyderabad Campus - Characterization, Quantification with Projections for Future and Disposal Methods
Abstract: The present study attempted to characterize and quantify the solid waste generated by regular student activities for a fortnight. The solid waste comprised food waste, vegetable peels, solid paper refuse, caps of cool drink bottles, plant twigs, unsorted rubbish and non-biodegradable plastic. The daily solid waste was estimated to be 0.06 ton dry weight. A questionnaire survey on the food preference by the consumers revealed fried items are of major …
