Bird-Tree Associations and Co-occurrence Patterns in Delhi: Implications for Urban Ecological Restoration and Invasive Species Management
Abstract: Urban trees and birds are intertwined indicators of ecological resilience in cities. This study maps citywide bird-tree interactions in Delhi, India, hosting more than 300 avian species. The city was divided into hexagonal grids, and bird–tree data (506 interactions) were collected through field surveys across 131 sites using standardized 1-kilometre transects. Native keystone species, like ficus, supported the greatest bird diversity, while invasive Prosopis juliflora was widely used for perching …

A Standards-Compliant API Framework for Integrating NAMASTE and ICD-11 TM2 Terminologies into Indian Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
Abstract: The lack of standardized, interoperable terminology services has hindered the integration of India’s traditional medical systems into the mainstream digital health infrastructure. Although ICD-11 Traditional Medicine Module 2 (TM2) offers an internationally harmonized classification for traditional medicine diagnoses and the NAMASTE portal defines structured vocabularies for AYUSH conditions, current Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms in India are unable to natively consume, map, or translate these terminologies in a way that …

Total Intravenous Anesthesia Versus Inhalational Anesthesia in Ambulatory Surgery: Effects on Recovery, Postoperative Outcomes, and Patient Satisfaction
Abstract: Ambulatory surgery has expanded rapidly, creating a need for anesthetic techniques that promote rapid recovery, minimal complications, and high patient satisfaction. Total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) and inhalational anesthesia are widely used in day-care surgical practice, each with distinct pharmacological and clinical characteristics. This article compares TIVA and inhalational anesthesia with respect to perioperative hemodynamic stability, depth of anesthesia, recovery profiles, postoperative pain, postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV), discharge readiness, and …

A Reproducible Low-cost Adaptive Cruise Control Platform with Lidar–Ultrasonic Sensor Fusion and Timer-conflict-free Servo-Scanned Blind-spot Detection on Arduino UNO
Abstract: Road traffic deaths caused by driver distraction and inadequate surroundings remain a big problem for preventable deaths. This paper talks about designing and testing an affordable, easy-to-copy Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system. It uses LiDAR-ultrasonic sensors to figure out how far things are in front of the car, and a servo-actuated, dynamically scanned blind spot detector. All of this runs on a single Arduino Uno. To measure front distance, they …

The Impact of AI-Driven Real-Time Feedback Systems on Students’ Self-Regulated Learning and Academic Persistence in Secondary Schools, Nigeria
Abstract: Self-regulated learning (SRL) is essential for secondary school students to achieve academic success and lifelong learning competencies, particularly in contexts requiring greater learner autonomy. This expository article examines the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven real-time feedback systems to support SRL processes—planning (forethought), monitoring (performance/control), and reflection—within Nigerian secondary education. Grounded in Zimmerman’s cyclical SRL model and Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory, the paper conceptualises AI tools (e.g., intelligent tutoring systems, learning …
