3′,4′-Methylenedioxy Moiety Containing Murrayanine Based Chalcone as Emerging Anti-inflammatory Agent
Abstract: Natural products are the emerging compounds for treating a wide variety of ailments. In a recent trend, rational semi-synthesis remained an impressive approach for developing inhibitors with pronounced activity. 3′,4′-methylenedioxy have been found to be present in a variety of compounds expressing anti-mycobacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, analgesic, anti-pyretic, etc. The present study focuses on the rational development of (E)-3-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-1-(1-methoxy-9H-carbazol-3-yl)prop-2-en-1-one from murrayanine and 3′,4′-(methylenedioxy)acetophenone and investigating the anti-inflammatory activity of the fabricated …

Environmental estrogens: A silent enemy
Abstract: Throughout our lives we are exposed to environmental estrogens, from food, air, water, soil, and household products as well as probably through breast milk or during development in the womb. Environmental estrogens have endocrine disrupting activity. Many times natural plant compounds or synthetic chemicals may also disturb the endocrine system. These compounds are weaker than the estrogen naturally produced in the body. Many reproductive, developmental and other health problems have …

Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery System for Atorvastatin Calcium: Design, Optimization and Evaluation
Abstract: Atorvastatin calcium (ATC) is the choice of drug in the treatment of moderate to severe hypercholesterolemia. In the current study, ATC self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery systems (SNEDDS) were prepared in an attempt to improve the bioavailability by enhancing its solubility. The solubility of ATC in various oils, surfactants, and co-surfactants were determined. Based on their solubility, Capmul MCM (oil), Tween 20 (surfactant), propylene glycol (Co-surfactant) was selected for preparation of SNEDDS. …

Development and Evaluation of Cost Effective Formula of Nintedanib Esylate Soft Gelatin Capsule and Compare with Prepared Product Similar to Innovator
Abstract: Nintedanib esylate was invented by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. Nintedanib esylate is an organosulfonate salt obtained by combination of Nintedanib with ethane sulfonic acid. It’s a kinase inhibitor used for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and non-small cell lung cancer. Bioavailability and water solubility of Nintedanib esylate is very low and BCS class is not mentioned in the literature. Due to poor solubility of Nintedanib esylate at neutral conditions, the …

Quantitative Determination of Isomeric Components of essential oils by RP-HPLC-PDA in multi-herbal tablets
Abstract: Essential oils are lipophilic and highly volatile secondary plant metabolites, principally mono- and sesquiterpenes. The widespread usage and applications in biopharmaceutics and cosmoceutics of these components drives their quality assessments criteria to be established. Gas chromatography is one of the predominantly used technique for analyzing volatile oils. Although Gas Chromatography employs estimation designs operated at elevated temperatures leading for plausible structural alterations of thermo labile compounds. Hence, a novel gradient …

Transethosomes: Rising Technology for Enhancing Transdermal Delivery of Drugs
Abstract: The skin has a total surface area of around 1.8 m2 and serves as the human body's interface with the outside world. The transdermal method of medication delivery has sparked a lot of interest in pharmaceutical research since it eliminates a lot of the issues that come with the oral route. Despite the fact that the skin, especially the stratum corneum, is a barrier to most medication absorption, it does …
