Fabrication, Interfacial Characterization, and Superparamagnetic Properties of Fe₃O₄@γ-Fe₂O₃ Core/Shell Nanoparticle-Reinforced Chitosan Biopolymer Composites
Abstract: Magnetite/maghemite core/shell nanoparticles were prepared by alkaline co-precipitation of Fe(II) and Fe(III) precursors followed by controlled thermal oxidation at 350 °C and subsequently incorporated into chitosan at 1, 3, and 5 wt% loadings by solution casting. Abstract: rGO/Sn₁–ₓZnₓO₂ nanocomposites with x = 0.00–0.75 were synthesized by sol–gel auto-combustion followed by wet impregnation with reduced graphene oxide. Characterization of Nano-Clay Reinforced Polymer Composites: Enhancing Performance for Extreme Applications
Abstract: This study investigates the mechanical, thermal, water absorption, and chemical resistance properties of nano-clay-reinforced polymer composites and polymer concrete. The incorporation of 1-5 wt% nano-clay resulted in a significant enhancement across all properties. Marine Algal Microfiber and Agro-Waste Reinforced Crosslinked Polymer Composites for Sustainable Coastal Materials
Abstract: Crosslinked bio-polymer composites reinforced with marine algal microfibers and agro-waste fillers were fabricated and systematically characterized for sustainable coastal applications. Mechanical testing revealed that tensile strength increased from 18.5 MPa for neat polymer to 25.1 MPa at 20 wt.% reinforcement (~35% improvement), while the flexural modulus improved from 0.72 GPa to 1.02 GPa (~42% increase).
