Automated Beach Cleaner
Abstract: Researches on marine particles have substantially accelerated our knowledge of the extent and composition of marine particles as well as its influences on the marine environment, aquatic life and people. Marine particles are very hazardous to marine organisms which include plants, invertebrates, fish, seabirds, sea turtles and particularly large marine mammals. Marine particles lift plastic liters that are composed of commercial chemicals or toxins. These chemical compounds may be adverse …

A Review of Failure Investigations and Its Techniques
Abstract: Valve failure poses a significant financial risk in the offshore oil and gas industry. Serious repercussions from this problem could include property damage and lost output from operational shutdowns. Additionally, it can lead to serious health, safety, and environmental (HSE) concerns such as oil and gas leaks, environmental contamination, and potential fatalities. In the Norwegian offshore industry, different kinds of valve failures have happened for a number of reasons, including …

Degradation of Building Materials by Corrosive Pollutants
Abstract: Fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) is used for the corrosion suppression of reinforced concrete structures (RCS). One of the main issues with reinforced concrete constructions is corrosion. It interacts with acids, alkalis and salts to produce disintegration in building materials components. Pollutants and effluents speed up disbanding inside and outside reinforced structures. Bio-wastes come in contact of building materials to develop miro and macro-organism and these organisms release acid substances to …

Study the Impact of Corrosive Pollutants on Building Materials Corrosion
Abstract: Reinforced concrete structures (RCS) may be made more resistant to corrosion by using fiber reinforced polymers (FRP). One of the primary concerns with reinforced concrete constructions is corrosion. It causes disintegration in building material components by interactions with salts, acids, and alkalis. Both within and outside of reinforced properties, pollutants and effluents accelerate disbanding. When bio-waste and building materials come into contact, microorganisms and macro organisms, grow and emit acid …

Development of a Durable Superhydrophobic EP/PDMS Coating Reinforced with Micro-CaCO₃ and Nano-ZnO for Enhanced Corrosion Protection and Multifunctional Performance on Carbon Steel
Abstract: Balancing exceptional multifunctional performance with mechanical robustness in micro-nano composite films remains a significant challenge for practical applications. In this work, a superhydrophobic coating reinforced with micro-CaCO₃ and nano-ZnO particles was fabricated through a versatile single-step brushing method. The optimized EP/PDMS@micro-CaCO₃/nano-ZnO coating achieved a water contact angle (WCA) of 173.54° ± 2.53° and a sliding angle (SA) of 1.50° ± 1.12°. Owing to its carefully engineered micro-nano hierarchical structure, the …
