Enhancement of Electrical Conductivity of Laterite Derived Ferric Oxide to Facilitate As Anode Materials
Abstract: Laterite is a mineral abundant in ferric oxide and various impurities, including aluminum oxide and silicon dioxide. The extraction of ferric oxide from laterite is accomplished through a cost-effective leaching process employing HCl, NaOH, and Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). Characterization using Xray diffraction (XRD) confirmed the synthesized particles to be α-Hematite nano particles, with an average particle size of 94.21 nm, predominantly falling within the range of 90 nm to …

Chemical Synthesis, Spectral Characterization and Electrical Conductivity Behavior of Poly(2-Methoxyaniline-Co-2-Chloroaniline) and its CuO Nanocomposite and Polypropylene Glycol Blend
Abstract: AbstractCopolymerization of 2-chloro aniline and 2-methoxy aniline was achieved chemically by oxidative polymerization technique using ammonium persulphate as the oxidizing agent in acidic medium in the presence of sodium lauryl sulphate, an anionic surfactant. Copolymerization was also carried out in the absence of the surfactant to study the effect of surfactant on the thermal stability and electrical conductivity. The copolymer composite with CuO nano particles and blend with poly propylene …

Synthesis of Poly(Methyl Methacrylate) Latex Using Batch Emulsion Polymerization Reactor: Experimental and Simulation Study
Abstract: AbstractThe rationale for the present study was to develop Poly(methyl methacrylate) polymer latex, using free radical emulsion polymerization mechanism, in which water acted as the continuous aqueous phase, methyl methacrylate monomer as the dispersed phase, potassium persulfate (KPS) as an initiator and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as the stabilizing agent. PMMA is a versatile thermoplastic resin, used widely because of its excellent performance in optical and medical field. The characterization …

Enhanced Thermal Conductivity of Polyaniline Nanofluids Synthesized using CuCl2 as Catalyst
Abstract: AbstractThe development of nanofluids for enhancing the heat transfer properties over the conventional fluids is mainly hindered by a vital issue of dispersion stability and hence is being explored in the present work. In the present study, Copper Polyaniline nanoparticle was synthesized by the oxidative polymerization method using CuCl2 as a catalyst. The characterization of Copper Polyaniline was performed. The sizes of nanoparticles were found to be within 7.24 nm …
