Utilization of Jackfruit as a Potential Supplement in Yoghurt and Evaluation of Its Nutritional and Commercial Aspects
Abstract: This study aimed to formulate fruit juice yoghurt by incorporating nutritious and flavorful jackfruit juice, known for its health benefits. Jackfruit juice was added at different levels (5%, 10%, and 15%) to yoghurt, and various chemical, microbiological, bioactive compounds, and sensory quality characteristics were analyzed. Statistical analysis revealed that panelist acceptability decreased with increasing fruit juice level. Among the samples, yoghurt with 10% jackfruit juice showed significantly different sensory characteristics …

Current Drugs Target the EGFR
Abstract: Cancer is a devastating disease, but there have recently been significant advancements in therapy that have identified EGFR and its related proteins as valuable indicators and targets for treatment. The ERBB receptor tyrosine kinase superfamily includes EGFR, which is a transmembrane glycoprotein. When the EGFR receptor interacts to its particular ligand, EGF, it causes tyrosine residues to be phosphorylated and forms receptor dimers with other members of the receptor family. …

Comparative Analysis of Nutrient Content and Cooking Characteristics between Binamoog and Sonamoog of Bangladesh
Abstract: A study was conducted to ascertain biochemical composition and cooking qualities of mungbean seeds (Vigna radiata). Two varieties, namely Binamoog and Sonamoog (Deshi) were included in the experiment. The varieties differed in their seed size, seed volume and seed density. In the proximate compositions, the moisture, ash, protein, fat, starch, total sugar and reducing sugar contents of Binamoog seeds were found as 12.35%, 3.97%, 22.79%, 1.20%, 49.15%, 2.73% and 2.12%, …

Geological Nutrient Sourcing of Potassium and Phosphorus in Agricultural Crops
Abstract: Potassium and phosphorus can be considered as important nutrients and are being supplied as ingredients in the fertilizers. In presence of potassium, the crop yields, shelf life, disease resistance and plant growth are improved. The mineral fertilizers have enhanced the crop yields and they are expected to segregate spatially. Due to the utilization of the mineral fertilizers, there was intensification of crops and they have helped humans to consume healthy …

Protein-Tyrosine Phosphatase-1B (PTP-1B) Inhibitory Perspectives of Hydroxylated Chalcones: Exploration through Docking Studies
Abstract: The current research emphasized on exploring the Protein-Tyrosine Phosphatase-1 B (PTP-1B) inhibitory potentials of hydroxylated chalcone derivatives against PDB ID: 4I8N (PTP-1B in complex with an inhibitor [(4-{(2s)-2-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-yl)-2-[(4-fluorophenyl)sulfamoyl]ethyl}phenyl)amino](oxo)acetic acid) by molecular docking approach using the iGEMDOCK (Genetic Evolutionary Method for Molecular Docking) software. The current molecular docking analysis of some hydroxylated chalcone derivatives have presented a profound inhibition of the antidiabetic target PTP-1B by interacting with the amino acid residues …

Evaluation of Proximate Composition , Vitamin and Mineral Contents of Aqueous Extract of Betel Leaf (Piper betel)
Abstract: Betel leaf is a medicinal herb distributed all around Bangladesh and many other countries throughout the world. In this study, three local varieties of betel leaves were investigated for their proximate compositions and nutritional evaluation of vitamins and minerals. At the mature stage, Kal Bangla variety contained the maximum amount of moisture (85.44%) while Doga variety contained the maximum amount of ash (3.26%) and fiber (2.29%). Moisture content decreased gradually …

Effect of Sulphur and Zinc on Yield Quality and Nutrient uptake of Hybrid Rice in Sodic Soil
Abstract: ABSTRACTA field experiment was conducted to study the effect of sulphur and zinc on yield, quality and nutrient uptake by hybrid rice grown in sodic soil. Application of 40 kg S ha−1 recorded significantly high grain and straw yield, protein content and sulphur uptake. Similarly, positive response of hybrid rice to zinc application was also noticed significantly up to the zinc dose @ 10 kg ha−1. Increasing doses of sulphur …

Review: Virulence factors, resistance genes and pathogenicity of Moraxella catarrhalis
Abstract: An estimated 2-4 million cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) in adults are exacerbated by Moraxella catarrhalis annually in the US, making it a pathogen of increasing significance for respiratory tract infections. It often colonizes the nasopharynx without causing any symptoms and an opportunistic bacterial infection of the respiratory mucosa that is exclusive to humans. In our study, we reviewed references about the important virulence factors that M. catarrhalis possess …
