Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Nanocrystalline CeO2 and Ce0.95Cu0.05O2 Solid Solution Catalysts: Properties and Applications
Abstract: The main study and the development of CeO2 and Cu-doped CeO2 nanocrystals containing transition- metal species are of crucial importance for understanding the preparation and fabrication of CeO2 and Cu-doped CeO2 nanoparticles by solution combustion technique to taken glycine as fuel. The structural properties of Ce1-xCuxO2 nanocrystals were examined by investigating the influence of cerium dioxide and Cu dopant ions. The CeO2 single-phase cubic system was successfully incorporated with Cu …

Designing and Analysis of Different Types of Fins in Air Cooled Engine
Abstract: This paper is dedicated to the study of various shapes of extended surfaces, commonly known as fins, which are used on cylinder heads of internal combustion engines. Extended surfaces are used to improve heat dissipation from the object by increasing its effective surface area. Efficient heat dissipation is very important since proper cooling of an engine cylinder head helps to maintain optimal working temperatures, improves engine performance, increases service life, …

Influence of Gd Doping in Structural, Morphological and Optical Properties of Zno Nanostructures Synthesised Via Sol-Gel Processes
Abstract: In this study, nanocrystalline Zn1-xGdx (x=0.0 and 0.03) samples were synthesised via the Sol-gel combustion process. An array of analytical techniques was employed to examine the prepared samples to determine their different physical features. For both pristine and Gd-doped samples, the crystal symmetry is hexagonal with the P63mc space group which is verified via the Rietveld refinement analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) data. The atoms' bond length Zn-O and bond …

Analysis of Thermoelectric Generator for Automotive Exhaust Energy Recovery
Abstract: Utilizing waste heat from thermodynamic systems has shown to be a successful tactic for reducing environmental emissions and improving overall energy efficiency. About 40% of the chemical energy generated during fuel combustion is rejected by exhaust gases in internal combustion engines. It is possible to increase vehicle fuel efficiency and lower greenhouse gas emissions by harvesting this otherwise lost heat energy and turning it into useable electrical power. A viable …

Structural, Optical, Surface and Gas-Sensing Properties of rGO/Sn1-xZnxO₂ Nanocomposites
Abstract: rGO/Sn₁₋ₓZnₓO₂ nanocomposites with x = 0.00–0.75 were synthesized by sol–gel auto-combustion followed by wet impregnation with reduced graphene oxide. The adopted synthesis route enabled homogeneous Zn incorporation into the SnO₂ matrix and uniform distribution of rGO, leading to improved structural integrity and interfacial contact between the two components. XRD confirmed a dominant tetragonal cassiterite SnO₂ structure, while FTIR, FESEM, EDS, UV–visible, and BET analyses verified oxide–rGO coupling, Zn-dependent structural modification, …
