Circadian Regulation of Lipid Peroxidation in the Brain: Linking Ferroptosis to Neurodegenerative Vulnerability
Abstract: The human brain operates through highly coordinated physiological and biochemical processes that regulate cognition, behavior, and neural adaptability. Central to these processes are mechanisms governing brain function, neurophysiology, and neuroplasticity, which are increasingly recognized to be influenced by circadian rhythms. Recent advances in cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging, and behavioral neuroscience have revealed that disruptions in circadian regulation can significantly impact oxidative balance within the brain, particularly through enhanced lipid peroxidation. Lipid …

Study of the Antibacterial Activity of Artemisia Absinthium against E. coli bacteria Isolated from Urinary Tract Infections
Abstract: Twenty clinically diagnosed samples were collected using transport medium swabs from the operating room at Al-Amal Specialized Laboratory in Iraq between November 2025 and February 10, 2026. Antibiotic susceptibility testing was performed on the 20 Escherichia coli samples. The results showed a clear difference in the bacterial isolates' response to the tested antibiotics. Imipenem demonstrated the highest inhibition rate, reaching 24.55% (100%), compared to the other antibiotics used in the …

A Dynamic Text Compression Model for Big Data Applications Using Hadoop
Abstract: In today’s data-driven era, efficiently handling vast amounts of information has become increasingly important. Data compression plays a vital role in this regard — it is essentially a method of encoding information in such a way that significantly reduces the number of bits required to store or transmit a file. By shrinking data to its most compact form, compression techniques help save storage space, reduce bandwidth consumption, and improve the …

Design and simulation of Solar Powered Automated Dual Rotor Mechanism for Sugarcane Harvesting
Abstract: Sugarcane being the vast cultivated cash crop of India’s agricultural economy has undoubtedly one of the most difficult harvesting processes. The existing mechanisms to harvest sugarcane are costly and are not affordable by rural based farmers. In this project a novel design mechanism is suggested that would serve the purpose of harvesting with least manpower, being cost effective and serving the purpose of cutting, stripping, sorting and loading of the …

An Auxiliary Array Indexing Approach for Efficient Binary Search in Linked Lists
Abstract: The paper covers an algorithm for searching a linked list structure using binary search. Binary search is a classic example of an algorithm that follows the divide-and-conquer approach. Binary search may be used to find elements in an array. Trying to apply the conventional binary search to a linked list simply does not work out very well; it still has an O(n) time complexity, the same as linear search. This …

Improving Dataset Integrity Through Automated Data Cleaning Techniques
Abstract: High-quality data is a fundamental requirement in data science for producing trustworthy analytical insights and effective machine learning models. Problems, including incomplete records, inconsistent entries, duplicate observations, and anomalous values, can severely reduce the accuracy and robustness of predictive systems. As modern datasets continue to expand in both volume and structural complexity, relying on manual data cleaning methods become time-consuming and error-prone, highlighting the growing importance of automated data preprocessing …

The Awareness–Behaviour Paradox: Media Literacy and Social Media Risk Behaviour Among Nigerian Undergraduates
Abstract: Background: The proliferation of internet-capable devices and social media platforms has created an intricate web of risks for Nigerian undergraduates, including cyberbullying, addiction, misinformation, and exposure to indecent content. While media literacy has been widely proposed in Western scholarship as a sustainable intervention for responsible online behaviour, its protective mechanisms remain insufficiently understood in non-Western contexts, particularly with respect to the psychological pathways through which literacy operates. Objectives: This study …

Traversal Speed Comparison of BFS and DFS in Balanced and Skewed Binary Trees
Abstract: In this paper, we provide an analysis of how well both breadth-first search (BFS) and depth-first search (DFS) algorithms perform while wandering through two kinds of binary trees: balanced and skewed. The research was motivated by the practical application of storing files and directories in a certain type of parent-child relationship through the use of hierarchical file systems (e.g., windows explorer). The result of measuring how fast and versatilely these …

Modelling and Performance Evaluation of a Multiport Converter for Active Balancing of Lithium- ion Battery Cells
Abstract: In this paper, a flexible multiport DC-DC converter-based active cell balancing technique for Li-ion battery packs is presented. Cell balancing plays an important role in terms of safety, capacity utilization, and battery lifespan. For Li-ion cells in series configuration, the difference in voltages and states of charge (SOCs) leads to imbalance issues which might negatively affect their performance and shorten their lifespan. To solve these problems, the proposed technique utilizes …
