Modern Day Social Media Issues and Their Solutions
Abstract: Today, over 3.96 billion people use various social media apps. With these huge numbers, come huge responsibilities. Social media today is not just a medium of interaction, but it is seen as a tool. A tool for spreading information about various political events, social movements, crimes, technologies, and what not. The sad part about this is that most of the information is unverified and comes from an unknown source. With …

Phubbing, Social Anxiety and Perceived Control in Young Adults
Abstract: This study examines the complex interactions among ten empirical studies on social anxiety, phubbing (phone snubbing), and perceived control. Psychological research has focused a great deal of attention on social anxiety, which is characterized by the fear of being negatively evaluated in social situations. Phubbing, the practice of people prioritizing their phones over interpersonal interactions, has become more common in recent years due to the widespread use of smartphones. This …

Frequency and Effect of CCR5 Alleles on HIV-1 Disease Progression among Untreated Seropositive Individuals Visiting Gondar University Teaching Hospital
Abstract: Abstract:The natural history of HIV-1 infection varies considerably from one individual to another, with some individuals progressing to AIDS rapidly after primary infection, while others remain clinically asymptomatic with no evidence of immune dysfunction. Recent studies have shown that reasons for progression and non-progression are multi-factorial and may involve genetic, virological and immunological factors that influence HIV disease progression in various ways. Microvita as a Fermi-Boson Hybrid Quantum Excitation: A Statistical Pathway Toward Unified Physics, Chemistry, and Biological Organization
Abstract: This article reformulates Microvita as a hybrid quantum excitation that interpolates continuously between fermionic and bosonic statistical behavior. A generalized operator algebra, a dynamical statistical order parameter, and a Lorentz-covariant field equation are used to frame Microvita as an effective unification scheme rather than a mere philosophical construct. The formalism predicts renormalization-group flow between infrared fermionic and ultraviolet bosonic limits, while numerical profiles suggest vacuum-energy smoothing and topological-defect suppression in …

Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol Using Wireless Sensor Network
Abstract: Wireless sensor networks have significant potential in the home environment. Home application scenarios include monitoring and interaction from several remote or local devices such as mobile phones, televisions or computers. In this paper we propose an architecture for a network based on internet protocol (IP)-enabled wireless sensors. The communication system is based on the XMPP-protocol which is shown to be highly suitable for the sensor networks. XMPP provides a push …

Effect of Sustained and Selective attention paradigm in Recalling task: a Cross-Language Study
Abstract: Attention is the ability to channelize the resource towards the stimulus. Sustained attention refers to the process of holding attention for a considerable span of time while selective attention refers to the ability selectively channelize the attention to an selected set of stimulus governed by instructions. This task would require the selective inhibition of the irrelevant stimulus. The current study was carried out with the aim of investigating the sustained …

Chicken Feather Degradation Using Thermus aquaticus YT-1 and Application of Keratinolytic Protease Produced
Abstract: ABSTRACTAim of the study undertaken was to develop a process to manage chicken feather waste, without use of potential infectious microorganism. Biodegradation of chicken feather mediated by production of keratinolytic protease involving use of non- pathogenic thermophile Thermus aquaticus was investigated. The structural complexity of native chicken feather acts as inducer to increase protease production as compared to feather meal. The keratinolytic protease produced demonstrated more than 50 % stability …

Thermodynamic, Kinetic and Mechanistic Investigations of Ruthenium(III) Catalyzed Methylparaben Oxidation by Diperiodatocuprate(III) in Aqueous Alkaline Medium
Abstract: The kinetics of ruthenium(III) catalyzed degradative oxidation of methylparaben by the copper complex, diperiodatocuprate(III) in alkaline medium is studied at 25ºC and at a ionic strength of 8.0 × 10−2 mol dm−3. In the presence of catalyst ruthenium(III), the reaction between methylparaben and diperiodatocuprate(III) in aqueous alkaline medium exhibits 1:1 stoichiometry. The oxidation products were identified by UV-visible, GC-MS and IR spectroscopy. The reaction exhibited unit order in case of …

Role of Human Neutrophils in Inflammation and its Modulation by Ixora coccinea
Abstract: Neutrophils are one of the key cells that actively participate in the innate immune reactions. Sequences of event of pathogen elimination by neutrophils are initiated with the activation of resting neutrophils. Pathogen is then eliminated by oxygen-dependent killing mechanism or oxygen-independent killing mechanism. This process includes margination, diapedesis, chemotaxis, phagocytosis and degranulation of neutrophils. Although, these mechanisms of the neutrophils are targeted to eliminate the pathogens and protect the body, …

TPLO-M: A Dual-Purpose Solution for CCL and MPL in Dogs
Abstract: Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) rupture and Medial Patellar Luxation (MPL) are common orthopedic conditions affecting the canine stifle joint, particularly in small and toy breeds and larger athletic dogs. When these conditions occur together, they pose a significant surgical challenge due to the combined biomechanical abnormalities. Traditional surgical approaches, such as Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) for CCL insufficiency and corrective procedures for MPL, do not adequately address both conditions …

Transport Mediums for Avulsed Tooth: A Review
Abstract: AbstractDental avulsion is a consequence of injury that results in the complete displacement of a tooth from its alveolar socket. When dental avulsion occurs; immediate replantation at the trauma site is the ideal procedure for maintaining the viability of PDL cells. However, immediate replantation is rarely achieved. The type of storage medium used for avulsion affects the prognosis of tooth replantation. As a result of the critical role of these storage …
