DFT/Data Guided Predictive Modelling of Absorption Maxima in the OLED Rubrene Derivatives
Abstract: This study investigates the optical properties of rubrene derivatives to develop an accurate predictive model for absorption maxima using computational chemistry and chemoinformatic techniques. We benchmarked various quantum chemical methods, identifying that the M06-2X/aug-cc-pVDZ method in dichloromethane (DCM) provided the strongest correlation with experimental data. Key molecular descriptors such as band gap, ionization potential, and electrophilicity index were calculated and analyzed using principal component analysis (PCA) to identify significant factors …

Basalt Fiber, Palm Fiber, and Seashell Powder Reinforced Hybrid Epoxy Composites: A Mechanical Characterization
Abstract: This study investigates epoxy-based composites reinforced with basalt fiber, palm fiber, and seashell powder fabricated via hand lay-up. Mechanical characterization included tensile, flexural, hardness, and impact testing, supported by ANOVA and TOPSIS analyses. The Basalt-Epoxy composite has the highest mechanical strength among the systems under investigation, with a tensile strength of 275 N/mm² and a yield stress of around 215 N/mm². Compared to Palm-Epoxy composite, which has the lowest mechanical …

Android Voting System Using Face Recognition
Abstract: This work investigates a novel authentication approach for online voting systems that includes facial recognition verification. The goal is to create an automated voting system that increases election security and voter convenience. Voters prefer to cast their ballots in designated areas, such as polling booths, resulting in long lines and the majority of people missing out on the chance to vote. Ineligible voters may potentially fabricate their ballots, generating a …

Evaluation of Coping Strategies Adapted to Overcome Psychosocial Problems in Adults Residing at Residential Home: A Descriptive Study
Abstract: Coping strategies refer to intentional actions taken to address and resolve personal or interpersonal challenges, aiming to manage, reduce, or tolerate stress or conflicts. Emotional-focused techniques specifically target the reduction of negative emotional responses caused by stressors. Some examples of coping strategies focused on emotions involve participating in activities to keep oneself busy and divert attention from stressors, seeking support, encouragement, empathy, and understanding from others. Objectives: (1) to assess …
