Knowledge Production and Global Integration of Uganda’s Climate Change Research: A Scientometric Perspective
Abstract: This study provides a comprehensive scientometric analysis of climate change research originating from Uganda and indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection between 1974 and 2025. A total of 1,097 publications were identified, which collectively received 785 Total Local Citation Scores (TLCS) and 40,275 Total Global Citation Scores (TGCS).The temporal analysis reveals exponential growth in research productivity, with over 67% of total publications produced during 2020–2025, indicating accelerated scholarly …

From Outbreak to Output: Uganda’s COVID-19 Research Trajectory Through a Scientometric Lens
Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic sparked an extraordinary global expansion in scientific research, with notable and growing contributions from low- and middle-income countries, including Uganda. This study presents a comprehensive scientometric analysis of COVID-19 related research output from Uganda, aiming to examine publication trends, authorship patterns, collaboration networks, source impact, and thematic focus. Bibliographic data were retrieved from the PubMed database using an advanced search strategy: “(COVID-19) OR (SARS-CoV-2)) AND (Uganda)” for …

Diet-Driven Enhancement of Immune Resilience, Disease Resistance, and Performance: Mechanistic Insights, Nutritional Interventions, and Implications for Sustainable Dairy Development
Abstract: This review synthesizes current knowledge on how dietary strategies can strengthen immune resilience, improve disease resistance, and enhance productive performance in dairy systems while advancing sustainable development. Immune function in dairy cattle is profoundly influenced by nutrition, with energy, protein, essential amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds playing critical roles in shaping both innate and adaptive immune responses. Suboptimal nutrition impairs immune competence, increases susceptibility to infectious …

Role of Impaired Digestion in Disease Pathogenesis: According to Unani System of Medicine
Abstract: The relationship between digestion and disease occupies a central position in Greco-Arab (Unani) medicine, as emphasized by classical physicians such as Ibn Sina and Al-Razi. In Unani medicine, digestion (Haḍm) is not confined to the gastrointestinal tract alone but represents a comprehensive physiological and metabolic process involving four sequential stages: gastric digestion (Haḍm-e-Mi‘dī), hepatic digestion (Haḍm-e-Kabidī), vascular digestion (Haḍm-e-‘Urūqī), and tissue digestion (Haḍm-e-‘Uḍwī). These stages are governed by Quwwat-e-Hāḍima (digestive …

Eye Disease Classification Using K-means Clustering Algorithm and Ensemble Classification Approach
Abstract: In this study, we present a comprehensive approach for the classification of eye diseases, specifically targeting normal, cataract, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy conditions. This research uses a dataset from Kaggle, which provides a wide and varied collection of retinal images to ensure good representation. The methodology encompasses advanced image processing and machine learning techniques to ensure accurate diagnosis and prediction. The preprocessing phase involves a series of image enhancement techniques …

Uttarabasti in Female Infertility: A Retrospective Analysis of Clinical Outcomes and Safety Profile
Abstract: Background: Uttarabasti (UB) is a specialized Panchakarma procedure involving intrauterine instillation of medicated Sneha, classically indicated in Yonivyapad and Vandhyatwa. It facilitates targeted local drug delivery, bypassing gastrointestinal metabolism and enabling direct therapeutic action at the uterine level. In Ayurvedic understanding, UB achieves Garbhashaya Shuddhi and Apana Vata Anulomana — the two primary pathological corrections considered essential in Vandhyatwa. Infertility affects an estimated 10–15% of couples globally, with a substantial …
