On the Relationship between Equivalent Potential Temperature (theta-e) and Convective Rain over Nigeria and Togo
Abstract: Convective precipitation is a key feature of West Africa's climate, driven by the West African monsoon system. Accurate forecasting of convective storms is challenging but essential for disaster mitigation in the region. This study investigates the ability of using equivalent potential temperature (theta-e) for predicting convective rainfall events in West Africa. Theta-e combines the thermodynamic effects of moisture and temperature to represent total energy available for convection. Daily rainfall and …

Trend Analysis of Long-Term Rainfall Data for Monsoon Season of Kharun Catchment
Abstract: This research paper investigates the trends in monsoon season rainfall over a 31-year period (1990–2021) using the non-parametric Mann–Kendall test. A range of statistical methods were utilized to analyze the rainfall data, providing valuable insights into its temporal patterns and trends. The correlation coefficient, measured by Kendall's Tau, exhibited a minimal positive correlation of 0.004 between years and their corresponding rainfall, quantities. This implies a slight tendency for increased rainfall …

Cause of climate change and issues in uttrakhand
Abstract: Uttarakhand is experiencing a surge in average temperatures and a significant shift in precipitation regime, causing significant changes in the duration, amount, and form of atmospheric precipitation. The region's shorter snowfall season is believed to be responsible for decreased water supply, leading to water scarcity. The shift in plant blossoming and fruiting has also led to a shift in traditional life support activities, resulting in decreased agricultural productivity, increased pest …

Study the Impact of Corrosive Pollutants on Building Materials Corrosion
Abstract: Reinforced concrete structures (RCS) may be made more resistant to corrosion by using fiber reinforced polymers (FRP). One of the primary concerns with reinforced concrete constructions is corrosion. It causes disintegration in building material components by interactions with salts, acids, and alkalis. Both within and outside of reinforced properties, pollutants and effluents accelerate disbanding. When bio-waste and building materials come into contact, microorganisms and macro organisms, grow and emit acid …
