Abstract

This paper provides an overview of IoT technology's integration in water quality management, focusing on real time monitoring of key parameters like pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and temperature. Since it directly affects people's health and well-being, agriculture's viability, and the preservation of our natural environment, water quality is extremely important. However, as the world's population and industrialization grow, so does the need for water sources, making maintaining their purity extremely difficult. The Internet of Things (IoT) has been a game-changer in the novel technologies and ideas that have surfaced to tackle this topic. IoT presents a previously unheard-of chance to completely transform how we keep an eye on, oversee, and regulate the quality of our water. IoT makes real-time data gathering, analysis, and decision-making possible by connecting a variety of sensors, communication tools, and data analysis software. These processes are essential for guaranteeing the supply of clean and safe water. It discusses the deployment of IoT sensors across various environments and their role in data collection for anomaly detection andpollution warnings. Challenges such as sensor accuracy, data reliability, and cybersecurity are addressed, along with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and technological innovation. The paper also explores future trends in IoT-enabled water quality management, emphasizing the importance of data analytics and optimization processes.
