Abstract

Sarpagandha is a evergreen shrub belong to Apocyanaceae. It is a medicinal plant used in Ayurvedic and Modern system of Medicine. Rauwolfia serpentina hold central position in world of pharmaceutical science due to presence of various alkaloids. This herb consist of number of active principle which have medicinal value so used in many disorders of various system.
