CRISPR/CAS9 Technology and its Application in Food

Abstract

Advances in the editing technology of genome or genes and also availability for the genome sequence for several crops has developed possibility for the researcher to precisely target the desired phenotype. Such therapy is possible due to CRISPR editing technology, which involves various cloning methods. After proving this concept in certain plants or crops which were used for the demonstration, thus targeting and improving the specific working of CRISPR/CAS9 technology. So, the present article describes the availability of source to plant biotechnologist to determine crop improvement using CRSIPR-CAS9 based gene editing technology or tool.
