Green chemistry has significant role in improving and protecting the global environment and they are even competent over other conventional methods. This paper investigates the greener route to nanoparticles which were produced by coprecipitation technique using hibiscus leaf extract as a plant resource. This method has been proven cost effective, simple, economical, eco-friendly and non-hazardous. The formation and nature of synthesized magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles were characterized by UV–Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, XRD, VSM, SEM and DLS techniques. Synthesized particles were found to be super paramagnetic, spherical in shape, monodisperse having diameter in the range of 10–15 nm.
