Dynamic Behavior of Asphalt Stabilized and Grid Reinforced Subgrade Soil
Abstract: The impact of repeated loading (punching shear) on Asphalt stabilized and grid reinforced subgrade soil have been investigated in this study. Specimens of 152mm diameter and 116 mm in height have been prepared, cured, and then tested using the pneumatic repeated load system PRLS. The deformation-load repetitions data were recorded for each case. Data were fed to the finite element software for the modeling process. An assessment was conducted to …

Flexural Behavior of Warm Mix Asphalt Concrete
Abstract: Research work on implementation of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) for roadway paving has been undertaken by many researchers due to its beneficial impact on the environment and reduction in the fuel consumption. In this investigation, two WMA mixtures have been prepared in the laboratory using medium curing cutback (MC-30) and Cationic emulsion. Hot mix asphalt (HMA ) mixture was also prepared for comparison. Beam specimens of (380 mm) in length, …

A Review Study on Urban Public Transportation and Management
Abstract: Cities play a vital role in promoting economic growth and prosperity. The development of cities chiefly depends upon their physical, social, and institutional infrastructure. In this context, the importance of intraurban transportation is supreme. Before covering every aspect of urban transportation, it chiefly focuses on those areas that are important from a policy point of view. The article first reviews the trends of vehicular growth and availability of transport infrastructure …

Need and Analysis of Green Transportation in India
Abstract: At present, transport sector basically relies on vehicles operated by internal combustion (IC) engine and depends on fossil fuels as a source of energy to propel the vehicles. These vehicles cause environmental and human health issues due to the emitted toxic gases. Apace usage of fossil fuels results in rapid depletion of these resources and price inflammation; it stimulates to find alternatives in transportation technology. This brings out an innovative …
