Performance Comparison of FBG as Dispersion Compensator with Different Frequency Chirp in an Optical Fiber Link
Abstract: AbstractRecent day’s optical communication is a most popular technique for transmission of data. We share most of our data through optical network, but the main huddle in performance is dispersion. However, the compensation of dispersion by Dispersion Compensating Fiber (DCF) and Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) can boost significantly the system. Our proposed work investigates and analyzes the performance of optical transmission system at 1550 nm using FBG as dispersion compensator. …

Some Investigations with Ultra High Speed Low Power All Optical digital Logic Gates
Abstract: AbstractThis paper illustrates design for an all-optical optical inverter and universal digital logic NAND gate using NRZ format, realized by MZI structure. Miscellaneous evaluations have been done to examine the designs performance in terms of their generated output waveforms. Simulations have been done for significant design parameters as chirp factor, laser power and bit error rate at different data-rates. Optical Logical gate outputs have been verified. It showed good design …

Growth, XRD, FTIR and Second Order NLO studies of Undoped and Zinc Sulphate doped L-Histidine Single Crystals
Abstract: AbstractSingle crystals of pure (undoped) L-histidine and Zinc sulphate doped L-histidine have been synthesized and grown by slow evaporation method using water as the solvent. These grown crystals are characterized by FTIR, XRD and SHG. From Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectral analysis, the various functional groups present in the sample have been confirmed. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) study ensures that the grown crystal crystallizes in the orthorhombic system and the …

Surface-Driven Capillary Flow of Dyed Aqueous Ethanol in the PMMA Microchannel Fabricated by Maskless Lithography, Hot Embossing Lithography and Direct Bonding Technique
Abstract: AbstractPolymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) as polymer is used to fabricate a dual sudden expansion microchannel by the maskless lithography, hot embossing lithography and direct bonding technique inside the cleanroom laboratory. Dyed aqueous ethanol (90% dyed water, 10% ethanol) is used as working liquid to record the surface-driven capillary flow in the fabricated microfluidic device using a CMOS camera catching 25 frames per second with a corresponding time-scale resolution of 0.04 second. This …
