A Study of Carbon Nanotubes in Photovoltaic Devices
Abstract: AbstractArrays of periodic one-dimensional nano materials provide light–matter interaction in terms of tunable optical properties which are attractive for planning efficient optoelectronic devices. This paper is based on n-i-p thin-film amorphous silicon utilizes scaffolds of vertically aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) array for a fabrication of bottom-up grown Nano pillar (NP) array solar cells. The varying effect of the CNT extent over a wide range from 800 to 2000 nm on …

Analytical Performance Evaluation of Coherent Detection Optical Receiver over Direct Detection in OFDM Wireless Optical Communication System under Turbulent Condition
Abstract: AbstractWireless Optical (WO) communication networks have the ability to have high-speed and robust access. WO communication network output can be greatly affected by ambient conditions. Atmospheric turbulence is among the facts about the atmosphere which can reduce the reliability underneath clear sky. Earlier, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) in WO is reported for the design of a high-performance communication channel for the atmospheric network. Selecting a proper detection scheme in …

Optical Recording of Surface-Driven Capillary Flow in Straight PMMA Microchannels
Abstract: AbstractIn this experimental work, a total of six individual straight microchannels are fabricated using maskless lithography, hot embossing lithography and direct bonding technique. Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is the selected transparent polymer to fabricate these microchannels facilitating the optical recording of the surface-driven capillary flow of dyed water (working liquid) using a CMOS camera catching 25 frames per second with a corresponding time-scale resolution of 0.04 second. Dyed water as dyed working …

A Novel Approach to Design Underground Fault Locator in Power Cable
Abstract: AbstractIt is very difficult to find the exact location of cable fault in underground cables; generally, these problems occur in metropolitan cities. A large amount of money is invested in digging the earth. This problem leads to design this project to find out the exact location of the error occurs in the underground cables from the side of the feeder and liquid crystal display show the distance in kilometer and …

Optical Recording of Flow Phenomena in Photoresist based Microfluidic Devices
Abstract: AbstractIn this experimental work, a set of three individual SU-8 based glass microfluidic devices are fabricated by maskless lithography and indirect bonding technique without having any microfluidic leakage. Dyed ethanol (10% ethanol, 90% red dye) is prepared and used as dyed working liquid. The microfluidic leakage is observed in other set of two leaky microfluidic devices due to improper indirect bonding technique. The effect of surface-to-volume ratio on surface-driven capillary …
