Performance Analysis of MEMS-based Ultrasonic Transducer with Different Membrane Materials
Abstract: Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS)-based capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (CMUT) follows the reciprocity principle in the same way as piezoelectric transducers and has proven to be a good alternative to conventional piezoelectric transducers in many aspects such as sensitivity, transduction efficiency and bandwidth. CMUT transducers like piezoelectric transducers operate on resonance frequency to get possible ultrasound output, and high sensitivity in reception. The performance of the CMUT is highly affected by material …

Virtual Prototyping and Beam Optimization of Resonant Micro Pressure Sensors
Abstract: The overall performance of a resonant beam micro pressure sensor largely depends on the mechanical aspects of the beam. Mechanical features include the geometry of the micro beam, its support structure and position of the beam on the diaphragm. The aim of this paper is to virtually prototype and analyzes the characteristics of a resonant beam micro pressure sensor and optimizes the beam geometry in terms of linearity and sensitivity. …

Bandwidth Management in WSN Through Discrete Fourier Transform
Abstract: In wireless sensor network, bandwidth and energy is the major consideration. In WSN, there are various protocols and management techniques which are involved in the bandwidth utilization and minimization of energy used in the data communication. The most common problem in WSN is of traffic congestion which results in loss of packets hence wastage of bandwidth and energy used to transfer the data is also increased. The technique discussed in …
