Design Analysis of Micro-Strip Moody Patch Antenna For Space Application
Abstract: Micro-strip antennas are frequently used in wireless applications. There are well known beneficial mechanical characteristics like low profile, planar but conformal to non-planar, easy to fabricate and light weight. Micro-strip antenna has flexibility in the term of electromagnetic parameter like gain, radiation pattern and polarization. In the application of spacecraft, missile and satellite application the antenna requirement is micro-strip due to their light weight, size, cost, performance, low profile and …

Optimization of Manufacturing Process of Booster Rocket to Reduce the Cost
Abstract: The spacecraft is launched into earth orbit or beyond with the help of boosters. After entering into earth orbit, the booster leaves the spacecraft and falls back into the earth after reaching a point called as booster engine cut-off (BECO). The spacecraft continues flight after leaving the booster with upper stage engines. Some of the boosters are recovered, reconstructed and reused. The boosters used for space shuttle are recovered and …

My Journey from Cosmic Rays to Elementary Particles
Abstract: I was fascinated by the study of cosmic rays after reading a B.Sc. level text book:"Modern Physics" by J.B. Rajam, which included the image of Piara Singh Gill (PS Gill). The footnote mentioned that PS Gill is the discoverer of latitude effect of cosmic rays. I was motivated to join Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh for my Masters degree in Physics by Gurbax Singh Narang, our Physics teacher in Government …

My Journey in Earth Sciences and Creation of Physics Department in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar
Abstract: Before venturing into Earth Sciences (Geochronology, Geochemistry and Geophysics), I tried my luck for a while to enter the domain of radiation biology. For this purpose, I participated in a four weeks Summer School organised in April, 1974 by the doyen of Biophysics, G.N. Ramachandran, who was a hot candidate for Nobel Prize in Physics those days in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. I found Biology and Biochemistry contents of …

Landscape Classification of Sariska National Park (India) and its Environments using Geospatial Technology
Abstract: The relationship between land use/land cover (LULC) changes and land degradation over a period of 20 years (1989–2009) at Sariska National Park (India), and its environment was investigated using remotely sensed and ancillary data. The study analyzed the magnitude and direction of temporal LULC changes for two consecutive periods; 1989–2009. The temporal change patterns of LULC were analyzed through interpretation of LANDSAT imagery. Final land cover maps produced under four …
