Drugs and Polymers Used for Colon Specific Drug Delivery System with Current Trends: A Systematic Review
Abstract: Due to greater flexibility in design of dosage form and high patient compatibility, oral route of administration is the most preferred route but the gastrointestinal tract has many types of other undefeatable barriers to drug delivery. In oral colon-specific drug delivery system, colon has a large amount of lymphoma tissue which facilitates direct absorption into the blood, negligible brush border membrane activity, and much less pancreatic enzymatic activity as compared …

Rapid Determination of Content of Etoricoxib in Pharmaceutical Formulations by Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy
Abstract: The present paper is an attempt to highlight a new technique FTIR-ATR along with its referenced validated method, UV spectrophotometric analysis. Different concentrations of etoricoxib were used as samples to draw standard plot. From different samples, a transmission spectrum was recorded according to the prominence of peaks. The present study has chosen the three most prominent peaks for analytical purpose in case of samples of etoricoxib and marketed formulations. All …

Preparation and Characterization of Microwave-assisted Candesartan Cilexetil Solid Dispersions
Abstract: The aim of the present study was to enhance the solubility & dissolution rate of a poorly soluble, BCS class II drug candesartan cilexetil (CC), using its solid dispersions (SDs) with polyethylene glycol (PEG) 6000 & hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) E5. Solid dispersions were prepared by melting, solvent evaporation & microwave method. The dispersions were evaluated for various in vitro parameters such as solubility study, dissolution study, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy …
