Clinical Trials: A Brief Review
Abstract: Clinical trials, according to the World Health Organization, are used to test new medicinal entities on humans after they have been studied in animals. Clinical studies are usually divided into five stages. Clinical pharmacologists study phase I pharmacokinetics, safety, and gross effects on human volunteers. If the drug passes the test, it moves on to phase II testing, where pharmacokinetics, safety, and therapeutic efficiency are studied on a small number …

Estimation of Oxfendazole in Bulk and Pharmaceutical Formulation by Various Analytical Methods an Overview
Abstract: Mebendazole, albendazole, levamisole, and pyrantel pamoate, the most often used conventional therapies for soil transmitted helminths in humans, have very varied efficiency against different parasite species and have unfavourable pharmacokinetic properties, such as a short half-life. Oxfendazole, a strong broad-spectrum anthelmintic with a long half-life, has been regarded a promising method for transitioning from veterinary medicine to human use. Analytical approaches for quantitative detection of oxfendazole in human matrix, on …

LCMS/MS Analysis of the Ethylacetate Extract of Securidaca longipedunculata Fresen (Polygalaceae) Stem Bark
Abstract: The present study aimed to identify some of the phytoconstituents of a fraction (fraction DDK-4) obtained from the column chromatography of the ethylacetate extract of Securidaca longipedunculata Fresen (Polygalaceae). Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LCMS/MS) analysis of fraction DDK-4 was conducted on a Waters Synapt G2 quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer (Milford, MA, USA) using positive mode of ionization. The results showed that 1,7-dihydroxy-2,8-dimethoxy xanthone, 3-(1,3-benzodi-oxol-5-yl-4-morpholinyl)-3-(2-hydroxy-4,6-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-propanone, 5,7-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-(2’,4’-dihydroxybenzyl)-chroman-4-one, trans-O-methyl-grandmarin, dioctylamine, rhodioloside, punicic acid, echimidine, …

Development and Validation of RP-HPLC Method for Estimation Ertugliflozin in Its Bulk and Tablet Dosage Form
Abstract: Background: This study developed and validated a new, sensitive, appropriate, clear, accurate, and robust reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method for determining safinamide in bulk medication and tablet formulations. An HPLC procedure using a UV detector and the Openlab EZchrome workstation programme was used to separate the samples, as well as a Kromasil C18 (250 mm × 4.6 mm i.d.) 5 μm. At a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, methanol …
