Synthesis, Characterization of Novel 5-(Dimethylamino) Naphthalene Sulfonamide Derivatives
Abstract: 5-(Dimethylamino) naphthalene-1-sulphonic acid was synthesized by methylation of 5-amino naphthalene-1-sulphonic acid. 5-(Dimethylamino) naphthalene-1-sulphonyl chloride were synthesized by the chlorination of 5-amino naphthalene-1-sulphonic acid. 5-(Dimethylamino) naphthalene-1-sulfonamide derivatives were synthesized by condensation of 5-(Dimethylamino) naphthalene-1-sulphonyl chloride and corresponding primary amines. There chemical structures were confirmed by I. R., 1HNMR and elemental analysis. Keywords: Synthesis, sulfonamides derivatives, 5-(Dimethylamino) naphthalene-1-sulphonic acid, 5-(Dimethylamino) naphthalene-1-sulphonyl chloride Cite this ArticleKhan Asif, Mishra Ritesh, Malvia Hitesh, et al. …

Development and Characterization of Mucoadhesive Microspheres Containing a Model Antidiabetic Drug
Abstract: The present work was envisaged to reduce the dosing frequency and improve patient compliance by designing and evaluating sustained release mucoadhesive (SRM) microspheres of metformin hydrochloride (MH) for an effective control of diabetes type-2. Microspheres were prepared by emulsification solvent evaporation method using sodium alginate, carbopol 934P (CP), and sodium carboxy methyl cellulose (SCMC) as a mucoadhesive polymers. The microspheres exhibits good mucoadhesive properties and showed high drug entrapment efficiency. …

Drug Approval Procedure in India (CDSCO)
Abstract: A regulatory process, by which a person/organization/sponsor/innovator gets sanction to launch a drug in the market, is kenned as drug approbation process. In general, a drug approbation process comprises of sundry stages: application to conduct clinical tribulations (CT), conducting clinical tribulations, application to marketing sanction (MA) of drug and post-marketing studies (PMS). Every country has its own regulatory ascendancy, which is responsible to enforce the rules and regulations and issue …

Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery System for Atorvastatin Calcium: Design, Optimization and Evaluation
Abstract: Atorvastatin calcium (ATC) is the choice of drug in the treatment of moderate to severe hypercholesterolemia. In the current study, ATC self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery systems (SNEDDS) were prepared in an attempt to improve the bioavailability by enhancing its solubility. The solubility of ATC in various oils, surfactants, and co-surfactants were determined. Based on their solubility, Capmul MCM (oil), Tween 20 (surfactant), propylene glycol (Co-surfactant) was selected for preparation of SNEDDS. …

Simultaneous Estimation of Baclofen and Nimesulide: Method Development and Validation by UV-Spectrophotometric Method
Abstract: A simple, accurate, precise, reproducible and economical UV spectroscopic methods for simultaneous estimation of Baclofen and Nimesulide in tablet dosage form have been developed. The method is based on the principle of Q-Analysis where in the absorbance was measured at 227 nm (iso-absorptive point) and 218 nm (λmax of Baclofen) in simulated gastric fluid (pH 1.2). Baclofen and Nimesulide show linearity at all the selected wave- lengths and obeys Beer’s …
