Biotechnological Prospective of a Group of Beneficial Extremophiles Isolated from Different Sources
Abstract: Extremophiles thrive in terrestrial hot springs, hydrothermal vents, glacial ices, saline lakes, solar saltern and acidic and alkaline niches; moreover a group of the extremophiles may grow in household hazardous waste, solvents containing cleaning and polishing chemicals, heavy metals contaminated sites, or in several other habitats such as aphotic, anoxic, athalassohaline and thalassohaline habitats that were previously considered inhospitable for life. Beside aforementioned extreme niches, extremophiles also dwell in poultry …

Stability Study of Medhya Churna Used in Treatment of Cerebral Palsy with Respect to Baseline Microbial Diagnostic Modalities
Abstract: Background: Cerebral Palsy (CP) is the non-progressive static encephalopathy which caused by brain damage and it is the most common motor disability of childhood. Aim: To study of stability of the Medhya Churna with respect to its stability against the microbial contamination. Materials and Methods: The Medhya Churna was prepared and studied to test microbial contamination at regular time intervals. Results: Sample was given for the microbiological examination from the …

A Review: A Source of Industrially Important Enzymes from Marine Actinomycetes
Abstract: Actinomycetes are Gram-positive, spore-forming, filamentous actinobacteria which usually contain G+C content of about 57–75% in their DNA. Actinomycetes are considered as a unique group of a microorganism having the characters of the true bacteria and the true fungi. Actinomycetes that have been detected from extreme conditions are considered to be sources of new enzymes of great industrial potential. They produce valuable secondary metabolites and industrially significant enzymes like pectinase, amylase, …

Facile Synthesis of Highly Uniform Selenium Nanoparticles with Antibacterial Activity on Bacillus subtilis
Abstract: In the light of diverse applications of Selenium nanoparticles in biomedical applications, a facile procedure has been developed to synthesize highly stable and monodisperse nanoparticles with Polysorbate 20 at room temperature. Transmission electron microscopy analysis revealed that the Selenium nanoparticles (Se NPs) were spherical in shape with uniform size of 43 nm. The antibacterial activity of Se NPs was investigated against Bacillus subtilis as a model gram-positive bacteria which showed …
