An in Silico Study of Selected Compounds from Garcinia spp. to Fight against Multidrug Resistant Bacteria
Abstract: AbstractBackground: Antibiotic resistant bacteria have emerged as a global threat. They have limited the number of available treatment options. New Delhi Metallo-beta-lactamase-1 (NDM-1) mediated drug resistance and efflux pump mediated drug resistance are among the major mechanisms associated with multidrug resistance. Objective: In our study, potential NDM-1 inhibitors as well as efflux pump inhibitors were identified through reverse chemogenomics from Garcinia spp. to deal with multidrug resistant bacteria. Method: Selected compounds …

Recent Studies Done on Molecular Docking: A Review
Abstract: AbstractIn the field of molecular modeling, docking is a method which predicts the preferred orientation of one molecule to a second when bound to each other to form a stable complex. Knowledge of the preferred orientation in turn may be used to predict the strength of association or binding affinity between two molecules using, for example, scoring functions. Keywords: Molecular modelling, docking, scoring function Cite this Article Rahuldeep. Recent Studies …

To Develop Efficient and Time Effective Search Model for Comparing Nucleotide Sequences with Database
Abstract: AbstractSearching of gene from their database is an important and common practice in various studies related to identification of similar genes against a query gene sequence. Our objective was to develop a faster search model by partitioning search space which is only possible through the numerical representation of genes that will satisfy test of reliability, uniqueness and speed required for this purpose. The result showed promise in speedier identification of …

In silico Study on Inhibition of NS5 Protein of Dengue Virus
Abstract: AbstractDengue fever is a flu-like illness. It is caused by a virus. The infection is passed to humans through mosquito bites. Statistical survey has revealed that every year 5,00,000 people get hospitalized due to dengue. Therefore there arises a serious necessity to find a drug molecule to cure this disease. At the first, we identified the proteins involved in the disease for which we obtained FASTA sequence using NCBI. Sequence …

QSAR Analysis on a Series of Triazole Based Tubulin Polymerization Inhibitors
Abstract: AbstractThe polymerization progression of microtubules is vital to their natural capacities. Polymerization flow allows microtubules to embrace spatial courses of action that can change quickly because of cell needs and, at times, to perform mechanical work. Compounds that interfere with the microtubule-tubulin equilibria in cells are helpful in the treatment of human diseases. A few triazoles mimics of combretastatin-benzothiazole (CAB) hybrids had good activity as inhibitors both of tubulin polymerization …
